Well, it was a very profitable night at bingo on Tuesday.  £109 won, £10 of which arrived at my table in £2 coins  :D.  Very happy with that!

Popped into MrT last night to get milk and bananas.  Crisp £20 note put in the self service, and only £1 coins came out - gutted!   But the queues for the checkouts was terrible so at least I was out of the store quickly and not hanging around as I seemed to be the only person wearing a face mask.

At a rough guess I have around £68 in my pot since Jan 1st. I have another 3 coins in my purse but I haven't put them in yet as yesterday I needed petrol and used my card when I should've used the cash in my purse.
    £2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.

On the junk market today I got an armful of Denby mugs and a Brunel £2 in my change! Sundry deities beaming on me!
  • @DigForVictory I have those same rules for myself about not asking for £2 coins in change but I'm doing so badly this year I may well start doing so 😅😅
I have one more coin to add to the collection though! Onwards and upwards

Well done poppet on a good amount so far.   They soon add up don’t they!

I have yet to buy fuel whilst the prices are so high. I’m still working mainly from home but do some trips to the office when needed. I’m in tomorrow and definitely on Thursday afternoon as the accounts close at midnight so need to add up all the petty cash tins and reconcile the bank.

Love end of the financial year but it does need to be done methodically to make sure everything is done and dusted.  Then bring on the auditors last week of April and I can have a week off 😁

Ooh, i’m A massive Denby fan - have two dinner sets (one given to me by next door who were getting a new set) and one set we bought many years ago from the Denby factory shop (only used for special occasions).

I’m very lucky in that quite a few people know I collect them so thankfully I don’t have to ask very often.  But if I’m having a slow week - I.e. none - then I do drop a hint that I save them when paying for goods and if there’s one in the till they usually let me have one.

My poor savings pot is starting to suffer with wear and tear from all the coins dropping in it year after year (probably not helped by the insertion of a palette knife to remove said gold bullion so I can use the pot again 😀).

This week, the entire bottom fell off when I moved it during a tidy up session.  Fear not, she’s been glued back together ready for the next coin to be deposited. The £120 that was already inside has been banked and I’ve bought myself another £120 of premium bonds.  Here’s hoping they are lucky bonds as I’ve only ever won 2 x £25 in all the years I’ve had them.

Bingo go tomorrow night. Hopefully come up trumps 😂😂😂

Received a Gunpowder Plot £2 today in supermarket change, & it has the printing error on it, "Pemember" instead of " Remember" 😅 Selling on ebay at all prices up to £499!
However some are just £5 or so lol. I never understand how some fetch massive prices and others go for next to nothing lol. Mine will stay with my other commerative ones😅
