Cross Stitch and Craft Cafe 2022

Hi everyone,
Hope Tuesday's arrangements went as well as they could Charly. I expect there is still lots to do to help FIL adjust.
We went to a craft fayre on BH Monday and met up with some friends. Lots of interesting bits and I bought some bamboo and cotton pads for DD and DNiece for the C word.

Also got some reusable washing up cloths back with hessian. Could probably make something similar if I were that adept!

Other than that, we purchased some food bits and had some lunch there too. It was nice to be out in the sunshine.
I've finished 5 hats for charity now and have made a start on the scarf for Dewy. I'm just using random colours up from my stash and can happily knit and watch TV which is good. No cross stitching done whatsoever!
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Craft fayre sounds great coxy, have you been watching the sewing bee?
Charly, hope all is ok with you, sunflowers are my favourite flower, yours look perfect
Still going to our k&n group, a brilliant bunch of ladies. I completed a lighthouse and my summer top is almost finished just neck & arm border to do. No cross stitch done, i really need to get back into it.
Lovely sunshine here today, enjoy the rest of the weekend, take care.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:1 -
Hi Coxy, thanks for asking. It all came together and a lovely testament to her life. FIL still needs lots of support practically and emotionally as you say. It’s putting quite a strain on us at the moment with us both working FT. He’s not always the easiest of men either !
Did no stitching since Monday night but sat down today and finished part 4 of April’s SAL. Loved stitching this but did have to frog one sunflower after stitching when I was tired. Yeah! See what I feel like doing next, until next part is emailed. Bet that’ll be MondayHope you’re both okay and enjoyed the BH.

Hi all. Two behind with sewing B so 🤫 Started an HSC design called cactus whilst waiting for the next instalment for the SAL. Also covered a hoop for PL Dublin. I tried to use green tissue as it’s Ireland and I hoped to make the colours pop. Just got to decide whether to back it with felt before it goes on a wall somewhere.

This is the design by HSC and below is an evening’s progress on the middle cactus. I’ll decide who it’s for when I’m done. Both my DS and DD love succulents.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Hi everyone. Only just found this part of the forum even though I have been posting and reading other parts for years!
I like cross stitch, I have really got back into it since the first lockdown. I am quite slow, and atm I only buy kits rather than patterns and buying the rest separately, but would like to expand my ability in the future.
I shall subscribe to this thread, I look forward to seeing everything people are working on. Atm I am doing a DMC kit based on the wave painting. I am a little over halfway through it. I will pop a pic up below.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
I am hoping to finish it in the next month or so, depending on how busy life gets!

Charly, love the hoop frame for PL Dublin, also nice start on the cactus, silly me thought the framed one was yours, haha.
Welcome Drawingaline, that's an interesting kit you're doing love the colours, i was out sailing this morning so very apt for me.
Hello ladies, what can i say, more crochet than cross stitch again, good job this is a craft cafe. As i said out sailing with someone this morning a foggy start but it soon cleared to glorious sunshine, we got over 7knots whilst i was steeringA reminder of the kit i'm working on, i really must get back into it.
Take care and enjoy the weekend.

Get you Nmm, bet 7 knots feels quick on the sea. Welcome drawingaline . I love the wave cross stitch. I mostly buy and stitch kits myself too. It’s only for small card designs I go freestyle. Hi all, how are you all doing?
Lovely updated on the SAL Charly. I also love the hoop for PL Dublin, very effective. I too though the finished framed cactus design was yours!
Hi to Drawingaline – welcome along. That design looks lovely, please keep up updated as we love to see progress photos on here!
Lovely new design nmm and get you going out on the actual water and going fast! Far braver than me!!
We had an IT malfunction at work this morning, so nothing worked until about 10ish. Now playing catch up. I have a couple of seminars to arrange – online luckily, but 6 speakers to coordinate.
DH was camping in Wales this weekend and is due back today. I had a couple of social evenings here at home. Curry with the girls on Friday and drinks/nibbles with the camping wives on Saturday (plus Eurovision - natch). Had a day of sloth yesterday, just knitting my scarf and watching women’s FA cup final and first two episodes of Sewing Bee. No spoilers please as might try to catch up on next two episodes later today!
Zero cross-stitching done, but knitting progressing well
