Hi everyone,
Lovely stitching. Those cards looks great @Charly27 - I love the way you finish them off - I am a bit cack-handed when it comes to finessing cards!
Great start on your new design @nmm
We've just got back from two weeks in Cyprus. Lovely villa and weather glorious (not as hot as home at times though!). We didn't get to see DDad as much as we'd have liked. Stepmum was very controlling and my requests to meet up/pick DDad up and take him out were either ignored or met with resistance. Such a shame for all of us. Has made me quite anxious tbh and took yesterday and today off work as just feeling so low. I've got a blood test booked for later this week as think it might be menopause related, so we shall see.
No stitching or crafting done for weeks. Think I will try some stitching this afternoon as it will hopefully lift my mood.
Take care
Coxy xx

Lovely stitching Nmm. It looks like it’s going to be a lovely calm creation. Welcome back Coxy. What a shame about your step mum although it sounds like you created some happy memories despite her. Hope the tests provide some answers. Take care of yourself.
FamiliesI don’t really know how to understand them! Big hugs (((xxx)))

Thanks for the compliment Coxy.
The bits are all from my card making stash and what I’ve recycled from cards I’ve been gifted and as for fabricwell, I need to remind myself of how to do quilting as I could furnish several beds!!

Morning all,
I'm back WFH - main boss is off so not a lot to do, but I'm online which is the main thing. Blood test later today.
I have been cross-stitching these past two evenings whilst watching the football. Have now finished the Leaning Tower of Pisa and have started on the Rialto Bridge. My fingertips are suffering a bit - lack of stitching has made them wussy - so will have a break from it tonight. I think I'm about 3/4 done now. Photo to follow.

Did my first bit of stitching on How does your garden grow last night. On part 6 now the final part, like most people the path seems to go on forever, so not enjoying that bit. Some creative people have gone free flow and only stitched part of it but I don’t feel up to being challenged at the moment! Slowly, slowly. Excuse the wrinkles. That's looking great @Charly27 - you're making good progress. Not sure I could cope with SAL deadlines!
I went on a CS spree this morning - first time in ages. Oxfam had a load of haberdashery so I snapped up a few bargains:
HSC 'Bee Lovely' sampler chart and threads unused - £1.99
A humungous piece of aida - £1.99
A pack of 8 fat quarters - £1.99
Some 'handmade with love' stickers - £1
I also got a pack of 5 Snow White fat quarters are Aldi on Sunday for £2.99. I have a idea for making a few bits but will need my sewing machine and we all know how rubbish I am at using that! I took a beginners book out of the library today - hoping that will bust the myth!
I'd love to have a side-hustle but just doing some research to find out what might work and costings etc.
Photos to follow.
Have a good weekend all,

The Aida is folded in half, so a good few projects there. I might use the fat quarters to back my PL series in hoops - I have London, New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Paris and (nearly) Italy. The apple Snow White fat quarter will be good for NY maybe 🤔Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0

Wow Coxy! What brilliant bargains. I’d be so happy with those. I was tempted by the Bee Lovely subscription but resisted. Fat quarters are lovely. Sounds like you are full of ideas, excited to see where they go. I’ve got PL London but I love this series. …‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler.
