Cactus update, nowhere near finishing as you can see
. I can see why you thought that though! I thought the black was dark blue so a bit hard on my old eyes. Nice to stitch though.

Welcome RageinEden, the sampler looks great i think its the easy repeat pattern that makes them enjoyable to do
Charly, the cactus is taking shape, 7 knots didn't feel fast but we covered over 20 miles in almost 4 hours.
Coxy, oh no to the IT issues, knitting sounds better than camping in wales. I'm going to join a 2nd craft group next week so that should be fun
I've been finishing lots of little crochet projects i had on the go, still on my mission to use up my wool stash. Got 2 bollard toppers planned just need to sort out the base. I will do some cross stitch this week, i promise, haha.
Take care ladies, enjoy the rest of the weekend.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Hi all hope you are well. Thought I’d post a quick update of progress on HSC Cactus - rageineden there’s a bit of a sampler thing going on with the shelf and on the border which is lovely to stitch. I don’t like the single crosses like the yellow. I think they might be called ‘seed’ stitches. Now going to start part 5 of How does your garden grow. Looks to be more to stitch this month, a picket fence, a pair of wellies, carrots and a lily pond. I will try to post a photo, looks like fun.Working a lot on the allotment and in the garden as well so only stitching in the evenings.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Well hello everyone,
Long time no posting (here anyway). Hope all are well and getting a little bit of the sunshine.
Lots to tell - nothing craft related though lol. We had our 25th wedding anniversary and took advantage of the long BH weekend to go to Isle of Wight. Were originally thinking of Florence but the flights were horrific times and cost and given the airport delays that week, I was glad we were driving somewhere. Hotel was okay.... expensive at £240 and didn't include breakfast!! Town we stayed in was a bit down at heel, but luckily the IOW is small enough to travel around easily enough.
Mum was 80 last week. We did an afternoon tea in DSis's garden and will take her away for the weekend. I think she like it - couldn't tell from her face and comments! and breathe....
DH away tomorrow until Sunday in Italy with a couple of mates. I will be going to the cinema tomorrow and Thursday (Freedom, George Michael, and Lightyear as in Buzz).
I need to crack on with my cross stitching as wanted to finish a couple of projects this year and so far haven't done any. I'm on PL Dublin at the moment but haven't picked it up in weeks. Also wanted to knit a scarf for charity, but again, this hasn't progressed.
Will be decorating the spare room whilst DH is away - needs a freshen up and we've ordered new bedroom carpets, so I need to crack on with it. I'm also going to upcycle a pine cabinet - will take before and after photos - well if it turns out okay that is lol.
Write back with news and craft updates pretty please xxx

Hello ladies, where has the time gone, sorry i haven't posted in a little while. Everything is great here, sun is shining just now, got sunburnt a couple of days ago i never learn!!! Haven't looked at cross stitch much either i really want to finish it off, been enjoying the crochet, not sure if i said but i go to a local craft group aswell as my K&N now, 2 brilliant groups. My family are here they arrived yesterday leaving tomorrow, we played crazy golf today and i was last
Coxy congrats on the anniversary, hotels seem very expensive to me everywhere just now. Happy birthday to your mum, i hope you enjoyed the cinema and look forward to the upcycled cabinet photos.
Right craft updates
My last completed cross stitch made into a cushion by a lovely lady at K&N

Hi everyone,
Lovely makes nmm - the rick rack ribbon on the cushion is really fitting. Can't believe somebody stole your yarnbombs, that's terrible! There's someone who covers a postbox top up the road from us by the park. They did a cushion with a crown on top for the Jubilee. So cool and such a lot of work.
I picked up my cross stitch on Saturday night. I was decorating the spare room until about 5.30pm. DS2 had gone to work, so I cooked some dinner then continued with PL ITALY!!! (I said Dublin in my last post doh) and have almost completed the Colesseum now. Once the spare room is finished, DH has said we should display some cross stitching in there as there are a few that are just languishing not being displayed.
Hope you're all going well.
