Cross Stitch and Craft Cafe 2022

Love the wall hanging. My mum quilts, so I have a few, and all my kids had personalised cot bumpers and quilts when they were born.
In other news I braved the French knots on my bird, they were rubbish, but they are done.

And after a year I have finally finished the Grest Wave! Using beads was a brilliant idea, I love the 3d effect. However I got invisible thread, that made it tougher, but at least I didn't have to make my stitches very neat!. These are both for me to keep. I may even splash out and get the wave properly framed.....and i have already started my next kit.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1

Happy Christmas to you all.Nmm the wall hanging looks great. Is it hanging in the boat? I looked really closely and I couldn’t spot the mistake! Fantastic stash busting in 2022.
Daisy great makes. Really like the wall hanging, what a great idea to have a tree representing each month, like the little bunnies for March. You might have inspired me to find a way to use my fabric stash! It looks quite achievable too as my quilting is at beginner level.
DaL two amazing finishes. The French knots look fine on the photo. That must have been a considerable challenge stitching the seed beads on with invisible thread, I struggle to see the darn stuff but it looks so good.Great work every body, the TaDa’s are my favourite spot in the cafe.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Welcome to the cafe daisy, the wall hanging is lovely and what a cool idea for the bauble very effective.
Drawingaline, agree with charly the french knots look good well done for doing them and the completed great wave is awesome
Charly, it was hanging in the boat but only for the photo, it's a gift for a friend. In the O right down the center should be one stitch wide but i miscounted so now its 2 wide, thankfully it was multicoloured
Hope everyone had a good christmas day, did anyone get any crafty gifts?Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:1 -
Morning!
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Ours was nice - had family over on Christmas Eve which was a bit raucous. Christmas Day was a bit Piccadilly Circus with kids coming and going - 5 of us for dinner. Loads of turkey, lamb and ham still leftover plus a cheese mountain. Will be dealing with that today in terms of cold meats and pickles, making a pie and freezing some bits.
DS2 loved his blanket yay!
No crafting gifts for me this year. I received some nice useable gifts like smelly candles and books, so very happy.
My list for 2022 didn't really get a dent in it! I finished PL Italy, plus knitted 5 hats for charity, plus completed DS2s blanket which wasn't on the list at the start of the year as we didn't know if DS2 would actually go to uni or not.
I'm going to have a look in my stash later and see what I want to make during 2023. Need to be realistic about what time I have. I also have a huge stash of fabric fat quarters that I want to do something with - just need the time!
New cafe link will be up tomorrow.
Welcome @daisy_1571 - lovely panel and bauble.
Great work as usual @nmm - nope I couldn't see the mistake!!
Great finishes @Drawingaline - love both of those - are they for you or gifts?
Have a good day all
