    Morning all!

Love all the card designs. Now confession time.....!

I didn't send one - bear with me.... I couldn't make the maths work with 5 of us in the exchange and 3 of us previously sending and receiving. It would have meant me either making for or receiving from someone from previous years. So decided to withdraw and let you all contact someone new and admire all your makings instead. I have all the cards from previous years up and displayed and will do a montage for you all later. Sorry if that's annoyed/upset anyone. Will be back on the exchange circle next year, promise.

In crochet news, I have finished all the stripes and sewn in the ends. Now need to do 5 borders - thought it was only 4, but no!

I lost two nights this week as was taken ill on the train home from work on Monday. Nausea, pins and needles in my hands like I've never experienced, searing headache, seeing stars. Thought I was going to faint or have a stroke (not even kidding). I was looking about the carriage to see if someone looked friendly enough for me to talk to them and tell them what was happening, when DH texted 'can you pick up some cream on the way home' I replied 'no, I am dying, send help' so he sent DD to pick me up. Of all those in the house who could drive, he sent DD who's car has a dent in every panel! I just flung my bags in and shut my eyes lol! Went straight to bed, fully clothed when I got in and got up 36 hours later! Don't know what that was (not covid as I've tested) but it really knocked me out and I've had to take the last two days off work which is not like me at all. Back WFH today and tomorrow.

Loving all the new makes and the crossings off of lists. Mine's not gone down so much this year unfortunately, but will start afresh in 2023 and start a new thread in the next week or so. Please come along with me (if you're still speaking to me after my card exchange fail...).

Coxy I don’t have a problem at all re the card exchange-makes sense to me. Love the sound of the montage. I’ve displayed all my previous cards alongside this year’s too! Don’t even have a tree up yet!

Sounds terrifying. Could be good to have a check up. Glad to hear you’re feeling bit better now. Take it easy. It’s been a stressful time.

But inhad already unpicked it once and i think it looks ok soni left it. I love the colours its quite striking.

Beautiful work DAL - I too love the colours on your project xx

In ta-dah news - I finally finished DS2's crocheted blanket at 11.05pm last night! It needs blocking but it also needs wrapping up for Christmas! Will pop it on the spare bed later to have a go at the blocking, but have family coming from 4pm so other things including cooking to do. Will pop some photos up from my phone in the next post.

Just wanted to wish you all good wishes for Christmas. It's been a challenging year for a lot of us and I know from experience, the holiday season can also be a struggle at times. Looking forward to lots of crafting and chat in 2023. New thread will be up next week  :)

    Love

Wow I think it looks amazing. I love the colours too. I don’t it matters having extra stitches here and there. Nobody else ever seems to notice! Is it for you? If so enjoy

Coxy that looks amazing. Lucky DS2 and clever you. Love the gallery photos, happy memories.

Happy Christmas to everyone too. A very quiet one for us. Just me, DS and FIL. It’s a very nostalgic and poignant time and I for one, am relieved to have made it to the end of 2022.

Looking forward to seeing you in the new cafe in 2023.

Coxy, congrats on completing the blanket on time, its amazing, sorry to hear about your illness, hopefully a stress related one off try to relax if you can :) Re the card exchange, it was your decision to make, not angry or annoyed just a little sad you missed out on the excitement this year, thank you for the card gallery it's amazing what we've all done over the years.

Drawingaline, love your distraction project, colourful and beautiful, my friend has pea-fowls, i hope thats the right name, she will love that.

Charly27, thank you for the confidence in not messing it up, haha, pleased to say it turned out better than i thought it would.

I don't remember if i even wrote a list for this year, hopefully it was to use up as much stash as possible, which i've achieved, using up kits i had been given and lots of wool in random drops and gifts. My only ongoing WIP is the Seascape cross stitch kit, which i am going to get back to now christmas projects are done and dusted. Photos of my completed noel stitching and hanger, can you spot the mistake?? haha

Lastly i'd like to wish you all a wonderful crafty christmas and a happy and healthy new year, see you in the cafe in 2023. More stash busting to come :)
