That's lovely. Mine went in the post yesterday at 7am, first class, but with all the strikes it may take a while. I had good intentions of getting it finished and sent at the beginning of the week, but am battling an awful head cold and had a funeral to attend. A family friend passed very very suddenly last month, was a shock and has really shook us all up. Known her since I was 10 and had only seen her a few days before.

New kit is going OK, but we are watching something that has a lot of subtitles which is slowing progress.

Drawingaline, don't worry about it, sounds like you've had a terrible week, hope you are feeling better soon. Subtitles and cross stitch definately don't go together, mindless rubbish is what you need, haha.

I'm working on a last minute birthday card and a quick christmas card, then i'll get back to the noel hanger, i miscounted on the O but i can't be bothered unpicking so i'll make it unique to me :)

Take care, especially if you have snow.

  • I have also found a miscount I have done in my new kit. But it was a bit I had already had to unpick once and it looks fine so am leaving it 🤣

    Morning all,

Very cold here and we had snow on Sunday which settled and has now frozen over. DH had to go rescue DS2 from the train back to uni as it stopped halfway. He drove him back yesterday to clear his room as he finishes on Friday anyway and can study the last few days from here.

I have 40 rows of the Harbour blanket plus 4 x border still to do. Will need to do at least 4 rows a day and will no doubt give myself an arthritic thumb at this rate! Might try to do some at lunchtime today if possible.

Loving the card photos - such a talented bunch xx

In M&S news - they finally got in touch to say they wouldn't take back the sofas as nothing wrong with them(!) but would offer me the loveseat (wide armchair) for the same price as the armchair. I had no option but to grudgingly accept. Please folks, do not buy furniture from them as their customer service is rubbish and the descriptions on the website are incorrect. They should stick to food and knickers.

    Have a good day everyone
