Hi folks,
The hallway wallpapering is finished and we actually had a night off last night whoohoo! DH was in Birmingham yesterday so didn't get home until 7.30pm, had dinner then went to the pub with his mates. I did the ironing - I find it quite therapeutic and most of it was DS2's. Given he's off to uni on Sunday it's probably the last time his clothes will see the iron for a while!
Absolutely no crafting done here and unlikely to be any for a little while. We are out for dinner at a posh restaurant tonight as a belated birthday meal for me. Tomorrow my BFF has asked me to queue for the lying in state of HM the Queen. I'm just waiting to see if I can finish work earlier and get a train around 3pm to London. Think the queue is currently 5-6 hours but sure it will only get worse.
In other exciting news, DS1 and his GF are in Seattle this week seeing her Dad and they got engaged yesterday. Really very happy for them both and will look forward to celebrating with them at some point. They come home the morning of 22nd but I'm off on the megabus to Glasgow that night. It's all go.
Lovely photos of Sandringham @Charly27 - I see the new Prince and Princess of Wales are there today to greet the well-wishers. Not sure how the King is coping - he seems to be here there and everywhere but has a day off today apparently. Great start on your friends' design xx
Hope everyone else is going well and dare I ask if anyone wants to do a Christmas Card exchange this year? I know it's a while away but the shops have started putting out their stock, so it reminded me to ask! Let me know.

Hi everyone,
Long time no posting! In the last few weeks I have:- Visited Scotland again with DSsis and walked Milngavie to Lockerbie (c. 85 miles) as part of our JoGLE
- Settled DS2 into uni in Canterbury
- Wished DD a happy 21st birthday - her and bf are a bit rocky (won't bore you with the details)
- Decorated our bedroom - just a feature wall of wallpaper to do
- Painted a large pine wardrobe whilst DH was camping
- Taken delivery of 3 bedroom carpets and the wood flooring in the dining room/home office
- Done absolutely zero crafting!

I have also settled my daughter into her first year at uni, in London.
I have missed my end of September deadline for my cross stitch, but have done a lot this week, so hoping to get it done by November. Looking forward to the next one.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Hi all. Been also following your progress with the JoGLE Coxy. You are both amazing. And all that done too.
Nmm love the poppy tree. Wish I could find a nice craft group near me. Drawingaline looking forward to the updates.I’ve made excellent progress on the latest WIP but been caring for mum following her hip replacement up in North Wales and have not done much since I’ve been back. Underestimated how tiring the driving, working from home and caring would be.
Yes please to exchange. I’ve kept those from previous years and enjoy displaying them. Will try posting pics at weekend.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Another hat finished so now at 3/40. Am currently knitting a matinee jacket for a colleague who has just had a new baby a week and a half ago. Am also hoping to progress a couple of sewing projects today.

Charly, have you checked your local library? the 2 groups i attend are based at them.
Betharooni, are your hats for a special reason, sorry if i missed it.
For the newer members, our christmas card exchange is when we make a card for the person we are given, we generally post them in the 1st week of December, no photos in the thread as the recipient does thatIt's a brilliant fun tradition that we've been doing for years.

Morning all,
Lovely poppy tree @nmm - so jealous you are able to attend not one, but two craft groups every week! Our local library has a KnK but I can't join because I'm working full timeI'm still in touch with a previous group and we meet up on a weekend for a coffee occasionally.
Hope your DD is settling well into uni life @Drawingaline
You are very busy @Betharooni - photos of your makes please!!
Great to see others wanting to join in the Christmas card exchange this yearIf anyone else is wanting to join, please let me know by end of October so I can add you in.
A reminder - you stitch one card and send to another cafe member. I will PM you the details of who to send to. We post on the first Monday of December (or thereabouts) to arrive in plenty of time for Christmas - this year it is 5 December.
No photos of your own stitched design but please put up a photo of the card you receive.
This years participants (so far)
Coxy 11, nmm, Charly27, Wraithlady and Drawingaline.
If anyone else is lurking, please pop into the cafe and say Hi!!
Decorating now finished. We moved back into our bedroom last night. Have decluttered 6 sacks for CS and one for tip. Now need to accessorise, but can take our time with that. Zero crafting done, but plan to make a start on DS2's blanket at the weekend.
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy xxx
