    Hi everyone,
Love your latest make nmm - so colourful and very apt for boat living!
I have made a proper start on PL Italy - currently doing the Tuscan hills  I have had communication from my old knit and knatter group. They want to display a tree at the church Christmas Tree festival this year and it will be made of (mostly) green beanie hats. The pattern came today and I have four different shades of green dk plus a dark grey. Might make a start tonight as find it easier to knit and watch TV rather than sewing. The hats will go to charity afterwards for distribution to those in need.
Have binge watched the latest series of Shetland (series 6) - having never watched it before I was somewhat lacking in who is related to whom - such a small community. It was very interwoven and twisty turney. DH DD and I went to see The Kings Man at the cinema last week. It was a bit slow at first but then the action started! Might start on The Tourist tonight.
Other than that, work is awful (thanks Omicron) and I have been running once this week - a slow 3K. Need to get back into it as am the size of a house right now. That's the trouble with not going into an office - lots of Christmas goodies left and no one to share them with!
    Hope everyone is doing okay.

Photo of design for DM’s card I want to stitch. I’m just going to stitch from photo. Shush 🤫

And the card design for DD’s partner. They have 2 cats. I bought the pattern as a download from E**y for a couple of ££.

Wow Charly I love PL Dublin. The colours are amazing and I can't see any mistakes!! The card designs are fab. My DMum is 80 too this year (in June). I already have a card bought (the shame) as forgot to send one to a friend of MIL in October! Ooops.

I started on a knitted hat last night - cast on 102 stitches and then a K2, P2 rib for 10 rows. Got to row 6 and it looked weird so I pulled it back and started over....3 MORE TIMES! Still looked weird, so will try again when I'm less tired.

    Have a good day everyone,

Thank you for the lovely comments it was a nice little stitch to start off with, i've made a start on Seascape the kit from my friend last year its on 18ct which seems so small now, haha. Our K&N group are making granny square blankets for a local care home, my goal is to make as many different squares as possible.

Good luck with the hats coxy, i can't knit so it sounds horrendous to me, i'm sure it'll look good once finished.

Charly, congrats on completing PL Dublin, love the cat stitch and i do the same for simple designs, most are from magazines anyway and easy to find online.

    Morning all!
I started the beanie hat on Friday. Finished article weighs just over 50g and there's only 34g of this wool, so I'm going to have to insert a decent stripe/s of another colour. That's fine, there's no hard and fast rules! Managed to get the ribbed band done, and now on stocking stitch until it measures 14 cm. I need to pace myself so that the OA in my finger doesn't flare up.
We were at a 50th birthday party on Saturday and got home at 2.30am !! Away this weekend with the same group, and apparently there's a large haberdashery shop in the town we are going to. Will I be able to sneak away lol?!
    Hope you're all doing okay,

Hi all. Coxy wouldn’t have the patience with the beanie but sounds like you are finally getting somewhere with it.
My eyes are struggling with 14 so 18 could be a challenge Nmm.
A tada for the cat card. I tried to change the cats to suit. Had to cut the handbag I’d stitched on the left as it wouldn’t fit on the blooming card! It was fun to stitch and a great stash buster. Just used what I had and what I liked. Not easy to stitch the leant over books on Aida, usually like satin stitch but it kinda works. Hope she likes it.

    Hi everyone,
Love the finished card Charly and I'm sure DD's partner will love it. Great to be using stash up too  :)
I had to pull the hat back AGAIN last night. Had a message from the knitting group during the day to say the pattern (bonafide printed from a charity) was wrong. Have now completed the ribbed section and onto the stocking stitch main part of the hat, as before. Luckily DH was out so I binge watched some Suits whilst knitting.
We are at the cinema tonight to see a Sidney Poitier film - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner - I've never seen it and it's on for one night only given his recent passing. Nothing much else we want to see apart from the new Matri!x film - will need to watch numbers 2 and 3 beforehand otherwise I won't have a clue what's going on! It's not really my bag!
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy xx

    Hi all :)

Charly love the cat card, i did the same with a kit and changed the cat to look like our old one, was fun doing that, great stash buster too.

The hat sounds a nightmare coxy, would be easier choosing your own pattern at least you can pick one you like. Only spec on our granny squares are 6" across and 5 rounds, any design you like.

I did a crochet drop of a couple of baby octopuses for the random acts of crochet kindness FB group, was chuffed to bits to see a father found one and gave it to his daughter, i've made a few butterflies now, might also do some mini sailboats. Oh i have my first update of Seascape and started on a crochet summer top, i have been busy, haha. OH still going through chemo and struggling a bit but we soldier on, what else can we do, take care chat soon.

Coxy hat sounds grumpy making! Nmm, love the beginning of Seascape. It’s a good feeling when something you’ve made brings pleasure to someone else and they don’t know it’s you! The true spirit of giving. BW to OH. I almost think it seems the middle sessions seem to feel a bit relentless. Take it easy.
Stitched until 11 last night to finish Mum’s little card. Wouldn’t have been so bad except one of the dogs barked to be let out to be sick every couple of hours. At least he tried not to do it in the house. Walked up to the post office after work so I don’t have the pressure to be up and out to make the post tomorrow and to get my steps up.

Caterpillar SAL PDF delivered to my in box today so may start that or just curl up and sleep until Monday.
