Thanks @Brie I edited my post yesterday after you posted. I'll be sticking to a tree as benches cost a small fortune...
Hmm, well I didn't bother with the pizza or the wood burner. In fact I need wood...
Today the boiler was serviced, that took up most of the morning.
I made soup.
The weather was good so washing done and dried outside (finished on the radiators)
I contacted someone connected with my creative project. We had an arrangement that was put on hold while my relative was so unwell. I would like to get going with it again.
A NSD today!
A few family members called. I am being missed, so that's nice.
I hope everyone had a good day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I love memorial benches too - they are very pretty near where I live. I always read the little plaques.
I hope you get your wish to plant a tree - as Brie said benches seem to be more what council's are willing to commit to...
I love a woodburning stove. I love watching and playing with fire... May be as well I don't have one here!! In the summer I play with my fire pit though...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm glad you're being missed. (if you know what I mean!)

A tree would be a lovely memorial"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5

A tree would be lovely, if that's a no go there's a company called trees for life who would be worth a look at, although admittedly the trees are not so convenient.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5

Thanks @savingholmes, @Brie, @jwil, @MovingForwards
So, yesterday was quiet. Library: a few emails, walk, a few phone calls, stalking R-move.
Talking of R-move there is an element of despair as there is nothing suitable. I have a friend in the same position so we had a texting moan session ending in an 'we will find somewhere in the end...'
When I am in a routine I do intermittent fasting for many reasons. I went back to it and feeling much better. I don't diet as such. I naturally like good, healthy food so when I do IF I seem to naturally lose weight and stop craving junk. I used to use a 10-6 window but switched to 9-5. I also noticed a food that I don't tolerate well. It was obvious but I'm usually too stressed and eating too randomly to pinpoint it and do something about it.
A 30 minute walk to start the day. Ordered some books at the library. Farmer's market trip. Going to make a stew this morning.
This afternoon, reading, creative work.
The evening, hair and eyebrows will get some attention!
Hope everyone has a good day.

I've been looking on the housing forum and things just seem unnecessarily crazy .
I don't really know if it's down to stamp duty / greedy sellers or what?
I thought that I had problems in the brexit saga at the time, and I honestly don't know what is / was worse . Hopefully the spring / summer will improve .On the plus side , you seem to have a more settled adapted routine for the moment .
That sounds good .I'll leave it there ..😼5 -

Thanks everyone
A few days since last posting. I've finally got back into reading. I've not watched TV, had netFs etc for over a year. I haven't missed those, but I missed reading, so I'm glad I can concentrate enough to enjoy it again.
My sleep has been disrupted the past few nights with frequent waking. I'm not worrying about it, just noting it.
I'm being MSE, not spending too much. Tried out an Italian blend from the C00p. Quite cheap and surprisingly nice
No travel costs and walking everywhere really helps with this as does the fruit and veg from the farmer's market.
I'm still having treats when I fancy, such as coffee and cake sitting in the sunshine now and then...
I did not hear from parks about the tree for my relative, so I tracked down the mobile number of the head gardener of the small church owned recreation ground nearby to my relative. It is a sweet little park that she loved. Anyway, the head gardener said yes when I explained. I have a meeting when I am back. The has helped my sadness somehow.
A friend with a car is thinking of coming to stay for a few days. It will be good if that works out.
I hope everyone is ok
