Another here wishing you well for the job and house.Your mirror purchase sounds lovely. I remember as a child we had one of those mirrors hanging up in the living room. My mum finally got rid of it as she deemed it too old-fashioned!!! We had reached the 1960s by then though! Funny how things come round again - it was so well made too! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks everyone.
So, I didn't get the job. It went from over 100 applicants, next round was 20 and then down to 5. It ended up being between another person and myself. They gave it to the other person. I was so disappointed. And tired, after tests and interviews all week.
I had a day of feeling low. Then I picked myself up and turned my mind back to finding a home...
I went to the new area to view a house outside of my budget. It is a long story but the EA had shown me a previous one on the street a few months ago and he commented that it was becoming available again. I am going to go for that one. (I left it before as I was unsure about the light as it seemed dark, it also had no upstairs bathroom..shower room downstairs) I could see what it could be when I looked at the house I was viewing! So. Putting in an offer. They are very similar houses. One done up to the nines, the other a bit shabby with the bathroom in the wrong place. I will need to move and fit bathroom, remove a wall, put in a kitchen and work on the garden. I'm going for it as the location is perfect and I can do the house to my own taste.
I would rather have a turn-key type property as my energy is low, but with a final push I might get what I want, albeit not in the way I imagined...
My friend has said I can stay whilst the heavy/dirty work is being carried out.
I have costed the works and I would still be able to be MF and DF and have enough to provide myself an income until SPA. I wouldn't need a job! I could just do my creative stuff.
Anyway, getting carried away as usual as my offer may be turned down.
I hope everyone is having a lovely bank holidayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
