Evening
Still no no spend day for me, but I planned to go out for lunch today and I did. It was lovely to chat with my friends so the spend was worth it. Unfortunately, the trip to M&S for cheap Christmas chocolates on the way home was not so planned. I have given them all away, so I’ll just get on with it and try to be more mindful for the rest of the month and have three no spend days before Thursday.Today I am thankful for friends, food and my car.
I’ve closed all the rings on my watch already so settling down now to watch Castaway again.

Productive morning up early washing and partly dried by 11am when it started raining. Last christmas tree down, snow one so got covered in white stuff. Unfortunately didnt quite fit into 7ft tree bag probably as its at least few feet taller but rammed in what I could and bubble wrapped the rest sticking out. Outside lights lets just say the battery ones have gone into the recycling bag.
By 12.30 had enough of cleaning, ate leftover beef dinner and watched Last Christmas finally a decent xmas film.
Joined a friend for a little walk and then wasted hr looking for fire stick remote. Kids must have put it somewhere, downloaded app on my phone in the end.
Day 2 and I have made a major purchase eek. Cordless Vac. Something thought about for a while as my existing one is heavy to cart upstairs with my dodgy back. Shall take my seat on the Chaise longue.
Nice to have a kid free day, my house still needs so much cleaning but plan to go out tomorrow last day off.

Hospital phone is still engaged.
Is anyone else struggling to hang onto what day it is? Grateful for a calm day, sorting things into bags, slowly and books, books, books. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11 -
Evening all, NSD#2
Went for a walk with hubby after breakfast, then tackled the bathroom cabinet. 36 items to either bin, recycle or donate, so quite pleased! Sat down & put all money into sinking funds & worked out incoming/outgoings for this year. Have less income this year, so will end up with a deficit unless I cut back in some areas! Feel spurred on to get selling unwanted/outgrown items from around the house, etc to earn a bit extra too. Watched The Prepper Princess whilst washing the dishes. Hadn't heard of her before, but was mentioned on a frugal page I follow, so thought I'd check her out.
Grateful for decluttering, a nice walk, time to go through my budgetsUse it up, wear it out

@shabbychic12 yay so pleased to hear we aren't the only family that does the door thing, our male tabby cat with quite a bit of black fur was the first through the door so hopefully that counts. We also bought our first magic bag too from a waste scheme. It was £2.60 from Greggs as we were passing and the shop was closing and it was full with sandwiches, bakes, sausage rolls and buns. Highly recommend for value for money and saved it being wasted.
Evening all.
Productive day cleaning and decluttering at home. All christmas decs taken down and stored for next year, three bags of rubbish taken to recycling and waste centre. Began sorting through youngest two children's wardrobe, 4 pairs of shoes taken to the clothes bank and I have a pile of outgrown clothes to list to sell which I will do tomorrow. I will be emptying, cleaning and sorting at least 1 cupboard/drawer everyday throughout January. Feels great to be more organised and stops me spending!12 -
Today I am grateful for a visit from big sis and niece, for finishing some online training, for dc loving bouldering again, for the pottery throw down, for our piano.
