Thanks all the interviews are cool, they are oral history interviews I have done as a part of a freelance role, and I just have to summarise the content, easy really, except it require concentration, which is in short supply in my house.
Also everybody is getting a bit antsy/irritable after 2 + weeks at home.
So cant wait to start work tomorrow.
Work tomorrow should be fine, I just have to focus - focus - focus - focus ...
@mothernerd i hope you mum is well cared for, apparently not guarantied at this moment in time.
@f0xh0les I love your countdown in lunch boxes. I will have to carefully plan and 'one arm' test all lunches for my son going forwards, will be interesting. He wants me to batch book. Great idea, just not sure if it will happen.LBM Jan 2019 - £25.928/Active debt £14253, 54% sorted

Abundant, I'm so pleased your mum is in a home. She is safe. Fed. Watered. Washed. Entertained. Medicated. And your shoulders can drop down from being around your ears with the stress. It can't have been an easy decision - well done you! You can have a free pass to laze on the naughty chaise longue (so long as you don't push mothernerd off it when she is using it to rest...)

I have listed 3 designer bags for sale, and closed 2 of the three rings in my watch (the other one will be closed in 2 hours) so quite a productive day for a bank holiday!

Evening turtles.
Started the day at work after my sleep in, spent the morning cleaning before coming home. Went for a long walk, bought OH a coffee as he's still isolating. Also ordered an anniversary card online as I couldn't find a single card in the shops. I also ordered a soft mattress topper. We already have a foam one but I need a softer one for my back. When I sleep in any other softer bed (like at work) my back is 10x better in the morning so I'm hoping this will help. And finally ordered a small leaving gift for my manager for when I leave. All spends were planned apart from the mattress topper, but that was £33 and I used savings.
Fell asleep this afternoon for about half an hour, found some vegan chilli in the freezer so will have that for dinner and am going to make a panettone bread and butter pudding to use up some final Xmas bits.Save £3,000 emergency fund #79 - £2,073.28 as of 05/24

Good evening all.NSD 3/16 for me, I think it's the longest I have gone without spending money in years. Used up random bits in the freezer and cupboard for tea so popcorn chicken and fried rice with peas. Weird but filling and tasty. I carved up the stale sourdough from yesterday and baked it into crackers but forgot all about it til it had been on for over 2 hours into the bin that went.Heading into town tomorrow to change addresses at the bank for my sons, also I found 2 old £ coins so I'm hoping to swap them for real money. The plan is to go to town first thing, do the couple of bits needed and head home. We'll walk so should be no cost for that. I do need to top up the gas and elec tomorrow though, as well as buy a few bits for dinners/breakfast stuff etc.My youngest is back to school tomorrow, and my son on Wednesday, they get free school meals so no packed lunches to worry about. My youngest has outgrown almost every item of clothing she has so I will need to update her wardrobe. I plan on searching Farcebook and local charity shops but the charity shops are all a fair drive away so I will need to weigh up the pros and cons there. Fingers crossed I can get a bundle online.
Restarted my journey toward financial stability on 1st September 2021 - I will succeed!

Good job I am back at work tomorrow will stop me spending.
Popped into Mr T's for bread, then bought fitted bed sheet as fed up with the one in gs room not being deep enough for the bed.
Had a lovely drive out to island, seaside town, windy, very high tide and walk on the pier. So cold had a coffee in a lovely pub with a log fire. Not very NST so far eek
Got 2 loads of washing out and partly dried in the gale.
Decluttered some items to dd1. Xmas trees put up into roof space of garage, not the easiest of jobs but its done and my garage
looked bit more empty until I decided to put metal garden arch in it. Save trying to put it back in ground at moment and wont rust then.
Right off to soak in bath and try and look presentable for work tomorrow.
Good luck ditty1234 tomorrow

The master plan:
I need to keep eating well, and I most definitely need to move more - I really want to get exercise into my daily routine in life, not just for January. I’d like it to become as routine as brushing my teeth. I’ve not found my ‘thing’ yet when it comes to exercise but the will is there. I planned to kickstart this with a free online 30 day yoga programme on YT - the first two days of which I missed because I was cleaning the house for friends staying over and then cleaning the house after friends stayed over. I’m going with GF to a 3-hour mini yoga retreat with the instructor whose pregnancy yoga class we did together. That’s on Friday so I’ll make that the first day of my ‘new year new fabulously-fit, super-stretchy, creak-free me’ 😂 I will aim to do some form of exercise every day.
Budgets are set and treat money is set aside. Treat money is a great thing. It stops me nagging OH - ‘you do not need another jacket!’ I can tell myself that it’s not up to me how OH spends his treat money and vice versa 👍🏻 I’ll keep up my weekly Sunday sweeps - saving underspends in food, transport and leisure.
December was relatively expensive for us - not so much the gifts, but the being sociable and eating out! So I’m going for it this month - NSDs 16.
The never ending declutter continues. Three bags full of baby stuff left our house with our friends today. Another two bags are waiting to be dispersed to CS and DS’s nursery.
Targets are set. Same as always - overpay the mortgage, build the emergency fund, and save money for holidays and trips.
Grateful today for OH making everybody a cooked breakfast, for OH straight onto tidying and cleaning with me after friends left, and for Mum helping me get on top of the washing pile (not literally).
