Today I am grateful for our t0sc0 points paying for dizzny+ and watching Encanto, for fairy lights, for a good book, for easy food, for our very own version of Airwolf watching a police helicopter for about 20 mins.

It's been a beautiful, mild day on our island. Had a lie in, made up for what I hadn't slept the night before! After breakfast, me & hubby did a 7.5 mile walk across some fields & to the top of a high hill. Thought we'd be the only people up there, but met a man on a scrambling bike, then on our descent a woman walking her dogs, & another on a horse (lady not dog 😂).
Watched an episode of C4tchphr4se with DS1 & competed to see who scored the most, he won this time. Cut up last year's calendar, wrote in my new diary & did some knitting whilst watching Goodnight Mr Tom.
Pleased with how the day went, will have to start decluttering tomorrow!
Grateful for the view of the lochs, etc at the top of the hill, a beautiful sunset & spending time with DS1Use it up, wear it out

Happy new year to all!Just checking in with a NSD 1/16 today, it's easy when you only have £1.62 in the bankDinner was scrambled egg on toast, all yellow stickered too. Budgets are ready to go. Took my lunch to work today. Only 6000 steps but I was at work for 7 hours and mostly standing in one place behind a till so I'll still count it as a win.Planning beef and veg soup tomorrow with the leftovers and straggly veg in the fridge. I may even make a loaf of sourdough to go with it. We'll see. Lots of housework to be done tomorrow to catch up on the xmas/NY mess. So much laundry to do it's crazy! I'm hoping to get some bits out to dry on the line tomorrow, fingers crossed for dry and breezy weather!11

No spend day Number 1!
Remember when I said I didn't track them? well it is the new year and I am having a no spend month (apart from petrol, food and stuff for mum) I am not allowed to buy from the Big River shop - they will be sending out a search party for me!!
I don't feel that well ( Beanie, still not eaten any more) but think I will be ok.
Nevertheless she persisted.10 -

Happy New Year turtles ❤️NSD 1/16 - an easy win since nothing is open 👍🏻I’ve been very busy tidying and cleaning today in advance of friends staying overnight tomorrow. Vacuumed our bedrooms, wiped over floors and furniture, and washed bedding. Tomorrow I’ll make beds, clean toilets, clean downstairs, and clean myself! And then I’ll collapse and be unsociable 😂I’ve still to properly plan out my goals this month but I’ll do that on the 3rd after friends go home.Grateful today for getting lots of cleaning done, for a sunny windy day helping to dry the washing, for OH being a man of equality and doing his fair share in the clean team, and for a lovely steak pie dinner made by OH.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8

Happy New Year, turtles!
I try to be positive although I do worry. I need to protect myself from negative people and energy vampires who are exhausting.
I love crafts and reading so want to do more. My friend makes all presents and I think i'll try this or do experiences. I need to finish some projects (rug, plaque, needle felt gnome) before I start any new ones. Use up some of my existing craft supplies.
Have set up a budget plan for all spending. Will try to support local and small businesses. Stress and feeling down trigger my spending (and also make my house extremely untidy at times) so need to sort that out.
Aim for 16 NSD but not sure I'll achieve that many. I live in a village and do several smaller shops rather than one big one. Also do top-up shops. Need to mealplan to try and cut down food bill and help with NSD. Also noticed 2 biggest spends are "Hobbies" and "Gifts" so need to reduce these. Will set "Treat" money starting now.
Continue to declutter which also helps a couple of little charities that mean something to me.
Go to more car boots with my mum as it's something we enjoy together. We're not looking for a Faberge egg or lost Van Gogh but are thrilled to find a nice plant pot, book or jumper.
Keep in touch with my friends as it's good for both of us, especially during the last year.
Looking forward to reading all your posts! X
