Wow Mothernerd, you've achieved so much!! Take care & rest in between spurts.
Bought my TV paper today as it wasn't in stock yesterday, but had a coupon for 1/3 off, so quite happy. Collected a box of yesterday's newspapers that'd been saved for my fire too.
A beautiful sky on my way to work today & loved how light it was on my way home this evening ☺️ had a good day at work, though it was extremely cold with the classroom windows open, so wore my coat inside for 3/4 of the day! Tried to join a meeting for DS3 about subject choices for next year, but the slides weren't showing on my phone, so will access the recording online instead. Sorted through 3 drawers in my bedroom, have some things to give away & some for the bin, then completed 2 sewing jobs.
Grateful for the lighter sky, my friend saying to someone from an external agency how good I was with my main pupil & the lady strongly agreeing with her, getting some decluttering done after none being done for a few daysUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

2 bags to the food bank, returned mum's pills to the pharmacy, called in at mum's bank to find out about their process and if the funeral director's can be paid from her account, went in 3 charity shops to check what they are accepting/ most need - could have done more but was very wet (wasn't too bad until a van and 2 cars sprayed a puddle all over me whilst I was waiting at the crossing).
Been very bad and spent money (so still on NSD5). Soaked and getting cold so succumbed to the lure of hot pies and a piece of carrot cake. Got home, ate, stripped off wet clothes (lovely warm dress put on - dried slowly on top of the radiator). Too late to go to Citizen's Advice so returned 4 books to the library and picked 4 new ones.
Packed ready to go to mum's (including washing 4 milk bottles to be returned). Intended sleeping there overnight and make a start on washing couch and seat covers and bedding so they can dry over the weekend and any excess to requirements be despatched to the charity shops on Monday. Needed a few bits from the stationer's but it's next to the bus station and it was time for hordes of teenagers to decant themselves from the buses and colonise the town centre.
Read instead, unpacked the CPAP machine and had several hours good quality sleep. Replied to a message from mummy of twins who is going to pick me up and help me at mum's tomorrow afternoon. If I get to sleep again soon (putting down the laptop, putting on the mask and reading myself into sleep) I will get a taxi to mum's (nearly everything is packed and ready) early tomorrow, sort the milkman (I only left him a message asking him to stop delivering for a week as mum is in hospital - I know it's only a minor thing but I'd love to return all his bottles, pay what mum owes and thank him and let him know I'll pass his details to whoever lives at the bungalow next), let mummy of twins know I'm already there and again make a start on processing bedding and covers (I really hate those covers - can't get rid soon enough).
Have picked up/ collected paper and can recycling, thrown down washing to go in the machine here, ate 1.5 scones (just so I don't wake at 4 am, ravenous and shaking), had a wash (was going to have a shower at mum's). Thought I wasn't hungry but DS3 brought me leftover noodles and onions with a smear of curry sauce and I wolfed them.
Going to mask up now and read myself to sleep. Grateful for making up with mummy of twins (I may have passed my initial ire onto some other family members who may avoid/ look daggers and as mum's cousin said, once this is over I never have to see them again, unless I want to). remembering my advice to my sons when we went to their grandparents funerals (leave all the fighting to daddy's family, we will behave with grace and dignity), my wonderful, outrageously black sense of humour which has gotten me through many dreadful times - I'm smiling now. My only remaining uncle said he's tried to explain to others that he and his wife did not live in blissful harmony, they often argued, but when they're gone, you just remember all the good times. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11 -
Have managed 2 NSD days, 4 creative write ups, done more chores from my list, I have two big things to get through this morning, so this will just be a short note. I think in my head I had an idea that I had to keep 'everybody happy' over Christmas, what a 50's idea. I kept them fed and warm, their happyness is their own to pursue. I think I like getting up at 5 (actually 5.30) to write for about an hour and a half before everyting else starts, it keeps my head straight and my heart in my chest beating.
Am planning one a lunch menu for next week ds1 can do with one hand, that is a fair challenge. We are startign with batch cooking, and then moving on from there, There is enough challenges at the moment.
Have a great weekend, a meeting and an afternoon of new students and a shop and a thai curry and then I shal be back where I am now. For some reason my bed is wher eI am left alone, and can focus on my writing. I love my new little laptop.
(Have freelance work and prep to do for most of the weekend, so will be time at home, but not really time off).Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Sticking on NSD5, I have just bought a half sized hot water bottle on Fleabay to replace the one m-i-l stole a few years ago - she fell in love with it when she realised it was 'just the right size' for any imagined illness she had, or place she needed to stick it. So I have lovingly looked after the fluffy dog case for it, and finally accepted she is never giving it back, so replaced it for £3.I just cashed out £6 on p/a and also received £7 in 'train delay refunds' this morning. Cost neutral. Did a £10 shop on the way back from the school run, for no reason whatsoever. Bizarre. Why did I do that? Sausage sandwiches for lunch.£10 left in the budget for fun spends tomorrow in a c/shop.Cut the weekly budget by £20, but it all seems to be going quite well so far, I am treating it like a game. Upgraded DS1s Sim only phone contract (30 day rolling contract) for the same money (£8), with the same people, he got 15 GB data plus all the free calls and texts. He was on 10MB before. Onward!!!!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 3/16 still - bought toppings for tonight’s pizza.I don’t work Fridays but I feel like I’ve done a good shift: after the snowfall this morning I cleared and salted our neighbour’s and our own doorsteps, cleared the laundry pile, booked car in for service and MOT, did some more decluttering (another 2 bags(!) for the CS & nursery - it’s never-ending) and completed forms to register DS for starting school.Unfortunately the yoga ‘mini retreat’ I was meant to go to this evening has been postponed due to the snow. But it means I’ve still got that to look forward to.Grateful for getting school enrolment forms done, for DS eating all his packed lunch, and for OH making pizza.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11

Evening turtles, small unnecessary spend today, bought a coffee, I did bring one to work but still needed an extra pick me up sadly! Also filled up with fuel as well. Off out tomorrow to an outdoor activity and the weather looks pretty grim! Have budgeted for it and bought a ticket, it's a day out for me and OH for our 14th anniversary
hoping the forecast is wrong lol.

Had a spend today - bought a coat, via £co and on sale but still £50. Been looking for a warm coat since DD2 borrowed mine and it got stolen at the gymDid order one but it isn't roomy so i shall return it and get the £84 back. So i'll still be in credit if i like warm coat #2
Had a long day at work, had to go out in the cold to a meeting for PT job #1 then came back and logged on again to FT job.
Now making soup with peppers and tomatoes i've had in the fridge for a while.
lcc - happy anniversary for tomorrow, hope the sun shines for you!
