I'm so glad it's the weekend.  I did manage to complete everything I needed to (including my appraisal 😖😖) so at least I don't have anything hanging over me this weekend.  After I get home after swimming etc tomorrow, I plan on just sitting with a book!

I'm reading Jane Eyre, it's the first time I've read it since we were forced to at school, and I didn't like it then.  I'm really enjoying it now though and can't remember it!

I've paid another £5 to the mortgage today and cashed out from PA so another to go tomorrow.  Hurrah!

    Hope everyone is well :)

  • Grazing ? 🐄 I'm losing touch with all this new terminology .
Carbs are very hard to reduce , let alone cut out . Bread is a main villain unfortunately 🥖
At least you're conscious , and learning more and being proactive .
    I'll leave it there ...😼

I don't think it's new terminology, it's my term.  I do constantly nibble at stuff, so graze, not as healthy as a cow though as it's rarely green :D

Bread is a struggle for me too - though more realistically hot cross buns!

I graze too - trying to eat more fruit rather than chocolate but the latter still creeps in.

Asper girls by Rudi Simone was a life changing read for me -helping me identify my symptoms and my DD's and then go for assessment

I am an Aspie girl - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/184905634X/ is a good read for little ones.

    Thank you :)

The grazing thing is terrifying!  I do just constantly snack rather than eat big meals.  She said it means your body is just constantly producing insulin so permanently in fat storage mode.

I'm definitely going to try and break the grazing habit, and try and eat three bigger meals.

Thank you.  I looked at that book yesterday but wasn't sure as I know they don't diagnose Asperger's any more.  I might get it though as it looks good for little miss.  I did order this yesterday so will see how it is - as much to help me understand as much as anything else.  'The Spectrum Girl's survival guide https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZDNKSQR/ref=dp_kinw_strp_1.  I'm going to read and learn as much as I can.

I’m a grazer too…a steady stream of bad stuff (good stuff) is so much nicer than boring meals 😖 I once successfully broke it by just having a cup of tea each time I went foraging, but I haven’t been that good for a long time….

A quiet day today.  I have done 24 listings, so fingers crossed for some sales.

I've been trying to not snack between meals and haven't done too badly so that's an improvement for me.

I finished the book I bought on autism, and am totally confused.  Little miss has some traits, but also does not have many.  I have some traits, but would definitely class myself as neurotypical and mine are a sign of my introvertism.  What is poor social skills and emotional literacy and what is ASD?  I think part of the problem is I don't see her in the area where she's probably struggling most - at school.  If the teachers are suggesting she is struggling, then I need to follow their lead.  I definitely need to read more widely on the subject.  There were lots of resources in the book I can look at.

I finally got round to watching Don't look up last night.  I really enjoyed it, but it is so depressing that this is just happening now relating to climate change.
