Love your style with the F&F ! 😸 You know how to handle them .
It's funny regarding these offers ; I found that a couple cave in or agree, and there is always one that is "No! "At least you started the ball rolling with the diabetic situation etc. You'll know more when you turn up . 🤞it all goes well
I'll leave it there ..😼3 -
I would definitely get little miss assessed if offered. I really regret my own family's late diagnosis... as it caused unnecessary stress and worry - and our self-esteem and access to support has improved post diagnosis. Feel free to PM me.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Mmmm.
If you think it may help then go for it.
At the end of the day the label matters not a jot, the help & support offered does.
Bright & happy is great.

It's all thanks to the wonderful advice on here on various threads. I wouldn't be half as confident without it! It's ridiculous though. When I made an offer last year they wanted to know the total available and what I was offering other creditors. I didn't give it last year, but included that this year. Now they want my housing situation, next year it will probably be my weight and blood typeanother_casualty said:Love your style with the F&F ! 😸 You know how to handle them .

Thank you, that's really useful to know. I have a pile of reading materials now, I may message you if I have any queries.savingholmes said:I would definitely get little miss assessed if offered. Thank you. The consensus from those I've spoken to in RL is also leaning towards getting the assessment. You are right that the support will make all the difference.beanielou said:Mmmm.

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it

I feel totally drained today. All the meetings are over now though thankfully. My pre-diabetes appointment was ok today. It was certainly more useful than yesterday! All about making small changes. I did get something from it.
I'm really hoping for a quiet weekend this weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -

My DS is autistic and has thrived with the right support - without the ‘label’ we’d have struggled to get it. He tells everyone he has ASD - he’s not ashamed of it . I’m a trustee of an autism charity so feel free to pm me if you need anything xxSealed pot challenge 822

Two most important changes to make?
Maybe I'll save them the trouble of asking and send them a pair
Two things that struck me was - reduce carbs (not stop eating them), particularly at breakfast, and the other was don't graze.
Try and leave a good gap between meals. That is my big one - I constantly graze. I've been making the effort today to eat more at meal times and not snack so much in between."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you, that's really useful. I hope I didn't imply anything or offend anyone by saying about the label, I agree it's nothing to be ashamed of, and people shouldn't be worried about being open about it. I think in my own clumsy way I am trying to establish the difference between standard child behaviour and what needs further support. I'm not concerned that it's a bad thing, it's more whether it was needed.dawnybabes said:My DS is autistic and has thrived with the right support - without the ‘label’ we’d have struggled to get it. However, I read through the paperwork last night and have been mulling over, and I recognise so many of the coping mechanisms, and the little things that little miss does, I have told the teacher I'd like to go for the assessment. Now I've read it I feel a bit bad that I've missed the signs.
If you can point me in the direction of any good reading material I'd be so grateful. It's clearly time for me to learn more about it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3
