A better night last night, though little jwil did cough himself sick again. He went to sleep much earlier and didn't cough much overall so hopefully we are turning the corner.
Tooth fairy had to visit little miss last night. Whilst she was rummaging under the pillow, she realised there were two little eyes looking at her! Quickly said, 'oh I heard you coughing and wanted to check you were ok'. Little miss doesn't seem to have made the connection this morning
Not much planned for today. Just a bit of pottering and tidying again. DH's last day at work until Tuesday. We've got a chocolate house to build so may do that today."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2 -
Do you need a fairy costume for future duties? 😁
I’m glad everyone is improving.
Did you say an annual oven clean? I’m not sure I’ve done the inside of mine since I got it 😳Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I do clean my oven once a year before Christmas. 😇 I like seeing the nice shiny shelves for 5 minutes!savingholmes said:@WinterWarrior I am the same with the oven. I do have some black sheets at the bottom that can be taken out and washed.

I've finished the great 'shift everything upstairs' now. It's made me fed up with how much I've got to try and persuade everyone to get rid of, but that's a job for next year. It feels tidier and more relaxing downstairs now.
We didn't do the chocolate house, but maybe tomorrow. I've finished all the wrapping and helped the kids do their bits as well.
Hoovered upstairs and downstairs again today. Just need to tidy the kitchen and bathroom tomorrow.

Dont try to do too much. Christma is for you as well. As Mums we tend to want everything to be perfect and work ourselve to death to achieve it. All this achieves is we are too tired to enjoy it. I know what you mean about stuff around being annoying in the extreme. I dont think Mr LH has ever put anything away in his life and to compound it when he gets things out he leaves the doors and drawers open.5

I dont think Mr LH has ever put anything away in his life and to compound it when he gets things out he leaves the doors and drawers open.I don't have much to do, just tidy the kitchen which I'll do when I prep the veg etc today, and a quick clean of the bathroom which will only take a few minutes anyway. Perfection definitely doesn't happen in this house, but if I do enough that the house feels tidy(ish), I'll be able to relax properly and not have stuff niggling at me.
DH is a sod for having stuff stacked everywhere, but doesn't generally leave doors and drawers open, the kids do though so I feel your pain!!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1
