I've redone my financial spreadsheet for the new year.  Looking at my mortgage target spreadsheet, where I've calculated what my balance needs to be every day, I'm £89 over where I need to be to pay my mortgage off at the end of the 10 year fix.  That's brilliant news and leaves me a bit of a buffer for when I'm skint.

Today I plan on catching up with the washing, cleaning and tidying through and just chilling.  Looking forward to the weather getting milder again!
That's good news about the overpayments. Especially as any increased ones now are more beneficial with regards to interest further down the line.  Bet you are so relieved you got the fix. And nicely timed too it's paid off by the end. We have 14.5.years left on mortgage and hopefully 5 or 6 years left on debts. Nice to see an end in sight isn't it
Every month the interest rates go up, I am so grateful we fixed.  We managed to do it at just the right time.  The mortgage has 13 years left, so trying to knock 3 years off by the end of the fix.  My debts will be there for years unless someone offers me a good F&F :D  I will pay them off, but following advice to pay the highest interest first which is the mortgage

I've just had my home insurance renewal and it's gone up over £100! 😱  I've done a quick search and I can get it for over £120 less so will be switching this year.  It's ridiculous.  We've never claimed in the whole time we've had a house.

I've cut little jwil and DH's hair this morning, and DH gave mine a trim as well.

Not much planned for today again.

I did go through a cashback site to get the quote.  I haven't followed through yet as need to wait to payday.  I might do some of the other sites as well beforehand.

Another quiet day today.  I could get used to this!

Just a bit of tidying again, and have done 5 listings for DH.  I've relisted everything today as well.  Christmas Day is usually a good day for sales, so hopefully we'll clear some stuff.

I was really annoyed.  We have actually been with them a few years as each year when I've checked, there's been so little in it, it wasn't worth switching.  It makes you wonder if they are taking advantage!
