Happy payday!
I've done the financials and updated the declutter list. Not bad!
I had a very spendy month last month, so need to try and rein it in as I've spent a lot of my wages refilling pots! Savings etc have still increased though so not too bad.
My coverless duvet arrived the other day, it's fab! Surprisingly warm considering how lightweight it is. I'll try washing it in a couple of days, see how it goes.
I've been off the chocolate since 12th June. That's hugely impressive for me! I haven't really missed it which is amazing. So now it's time to think about what the next small change is going to be, and it's a bit of a double stranded plan.
I was reading about time restricted eating, and there were some suggestions that a 10 hour eating period (finishing no later than 8pm) and 14 hour fast was the sweet spot on positive results for this, and there didn't seem to be a lot of benefit on a shorter eating period. Plus 10 hours seems more manageable. So I've decided to try this. I am hungry in the morning, so not one for missing breakfast, so my eating period is going to be normally 9-7pm so I can have breakfast after I drop the kids at school.
The other thing for controlling sugars is to reduce snacking. If I do the time restriction, then I can eat 3 proper meals and the gap between them isn't huge, so there's no reason for me to be grazing.
So that's this month's plan. Apart from not buying chocolate bars, I'm eating normally, with loads of fruit and veg. The book reckoned that people had improvements in their bloods and visceral fat, even if they didn't change their diets, just restricted the time, and didn't graze. Fingers crossed!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Happy payday. Well done on the savings increase!
stopping grazing is a good idea. I tend to only eat once a day….from the minute I wake up until I go to sleep 😕Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Friday everyone! It's still a huge novelty having Fridays off.
Most of the bills have come out so I know what's left for the month, and hopefully can have a more frugal month. I've got a couple of birthdays, but have already bought gifts for two, so just one voucher and card to get.
Today I'm going to have a chilled out day to myself, as we've been busy the last few weeks. Just potter around, maybe do a bit of tidying/decluttering/gardening. I did manage to clean and tidy through yesterday, so don't have to do housework before I can start anything else! I can just do something that will make a small difference to the house.
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4
