+Great little bee Florenceem.
Congratulations it's very cute
I would like to add some net/ wired ribbon wings but guess that would be fiddly and add more expense. (Unless of course you have something like that in your stash!!)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Katiehound - that is a good idea. I followed the pattern photo but wings would make an added cuteness. Thing is - I am making things to raise funds for my Salvation Army Corps so need quantity. I have a fair coming up at the end of April and I put makes to sell in my hairdressers. My head teacher DD takes makes into school to sell and I know another teacher who I am going at ask about taking a basket of bits to her school. The cost of making items is not a problem as I consider it part of my giving/tithe - I pay for everything I use and the whole amount raised goes to the SA and I have a large stash - it is just time that is the issue.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Actually after I wrote that I wondered if something as simple as strip of pleated cellophane (as in the bags you packaged your items in) folded in half and then sewn with a couple of stitches to each side would create the effect. I'm thinking it might.
Equally if you have some wide wired ribbon you could fold that in half & sew on- wouldn't take a lot of sewing but I appreciate time all adds up (like where did most of my day go??)
Perhaps a florists has something inspiring, quick & easy? if it wired it would stand up/ out of its own accord.
The other thing that is fairly stiff is netting used for tutus etc- net tulle and white would look almost invisible- as real bee wings
Good luck with that. Sorry to cause more work but I really think they would be utterly irresistible with wings- they might 'fly off the shelves!'Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
