Hi, everyone - this week has gone to plan and I've finished the baby set and only have to find buttons. I have about 150g of the Aran left so will use it to knit someone a hat. I'm sure I have some small wooden buttons somewhere 🤔. I've sewn 2 pyramid bags to hold grandsons small Easter eggs and a memory cushion for a neighbour who's dad died recently.

I've finally started an Aran knit for myself - I've kept putting this off as anything for myself takes ages due to the size 😂😂😂. The pattern has a long waistcoat or cardigan so knitting the body first and will then decide whether to add sleeves or not. Sewing this week will be 2 bags for granddaughters Easter.

    Happy crafting

I hope you enjoy the knitting for yourself. It is nice to make things for others but it’s also essential to make things for us too. When I get round to seeing all the dresses I’d like to I’d have a whole new wardrobe and no need to shop for years 🤣🤣

    So I’m up to 124 / 250.

I’ve hung some pictures and bits on the landing. I have also stuck a couple of bits in the box for the scrap store / charity shop.

I’m nearly half way there with my target. I have loads more pictures and need to get more frames for this. But am currently loving found all of these things.

£32.77/ £250 spent so far. I don’t count my social sessions as money spent as it’s about not being in the house.

  • Thanks for your kind messages. I am now COVID free and back out in the world. Physically I was pretty lucky but felt very brain dead, so things that required very little focus or moving were necessary. As a result, I’ve made a decent dent in the mending pile (though it remains concerningly large). Now that I’m feeling better, I’ve been working on some knitting. I have finished off two small balls that I had leftover from a previous hat. They worked themselves into another hat, so I’ve put that in my box for presents. Sure it will come in at some point.

Glad you’re covid free. And hopefully the fog will lift soon. It may not feel much but the fact you carried on with the mind numbing bits is amazing. Also yay for mending done. 😁😁

nimbo I used to sew all my clothes till I had my children over 40 years ago then I never had the time and it was easier to just buy them. Since I retired I've bought several lengths of material meaning to start dressmaking again and always keep putting it off. Possibly scared I've lost the touch - maybe one day.

As for my knitting - I've only done 6" in two full evenings. Another 22" to complete the back. This is going to be a long job 🥴

I made 7 Birthday cards this morning - using card blanks/envelopes from my stash. I recycled old cards to make them.

    up to 126 / 250.

I’ve chucked off a couple of bits away. Not earth shattering. But some small progress.

Im hoping to find a car boot at the weekend for picture frames.
