Lots of nice things are being made from posters stashes which is always nice to read.

I'm currently still on "those" denim dungarees that I keep saying I'd post a photo of, I'll definitely post a pic when I'm finished.  I am now decorating the back of them having fully done the front now. I've stitched 2 x "wot no" men looking out of the 2 back pockets and last night I sewed a large felt heart-shaped speech bubble above them.  So the only thing I want to do with them now is to sew inside the speech bubble and then the back is completely finished too.  Thank goodness for that because I have spent weeks and weeks on this same pair of dungarees and I have a lot of other things I want to do besides just jazzing up dungarees.

From my stash, I have used numerous amounts of thread, buttons, beads, lots of wool scraps but I did need to buy some felt for them.  I will update my spending soon.

I sat down again last night and re looked through my projects / craft list.
I have over 30 basic projects and that doesnt include garden / sewing / penpals or house projects.
I really do need to pull my finger out but Im quite happy that some of the things I brought with my spend will allow me to either be useful with or enable me to get some of the other projects done.
Like I brought thread and a seam unpicker which will obviously come in handy for sewing projects.
Velcro I have a few jobs for including fixing my greenhouse door.
I have a few paint your own money boxes which will come in handy for a) keeping kids entertained over Easter holiday b) act as their own money boxes and c) I have a post box one that will go towards stamps for my penpalling.

I also brought a knitting loom that Im excited to try. Im hoping to make a nice aray of hats for people as gifts this year at christmas but I also hoping I can make things like headbands etc as well. I will have to decide once it gets here.
    Time to find me again

if you like painting boxes then shoe boxes are great (and free) for making treasure boxes. If you can get strong ones a couple of coats of vinyl paint makes a good base and then you can decorate with more paint or decoupage - whatever and a coat of water based varnish will make them very strong.
A tester pot  will maybe paint one box? or of course, use up the left overs from the walls. You can get some dark/bright colours which can mixed with pale to make hues

Hi, I've not done as much as hoped over the last week. I did repair a couple of my tops and have now completed 19" of the back of my Aran waistcoat. Losing the will to live with this but will persevere and try not to hide it away for a couple of years 🤣🤣🤣.

I had my 3 grandchildren again from Friday till Monday as both parents were working. I honestly don't know how I managed to raise my 3 children on my own. Absolutely shattered by the time they went home.

I did spend a couple of very enjoyable hours in my sewing room with granddaughter aged 9. She chose 4 animal fabrics and we made a nice Easter table mat with a lemon fleece backing and gold binding. She did all the cutting out and sewing herself except for the binding. I had high hopes for her which were brutally dashed when she then told me that she would not be doing any sewing or knitting when she grows up !!!

Grandchildren really liked their Easter bags  - happy crafting

I haven't put anything in my signature, and can't find a quick way of skipping back through the posts, so I will imagine I've done naff all this year, and I want to make 100 things...

So having finished the PJ bottoms, I'm now on 1/100I need to finish the t-shirt, and then that is my first Christmas present finished! I have cut out the interfacing for a kids coat I have had sat about for a while 😬 so that will be the next project to be finished. I also have a Peter rabbit embroidery piece for a quilt to finish- I can't see the traced lines very well no matter how well I go over it, so it's a bit freehand now! The flowers look like flowers though.

97/200- bust my craft stash 2025!
166/200- bust my craft stash 2024! £106.80 spent
211/200- bust my craft stash 2023!
  • Made a needle felted sheep this evening… no actual plans for it yet but it has used up some of the fluffy stuff 🤣 I will probably turn him into a Christmas ornament, but for now he’s sitting on the arm of the sofa with his head tilted to one side like he’s listening in to some great secret, rather than the distant mumbling of the other half’s snores.

I need to make things with more of a plan but the fair I was hoping to do in summer has been postponed to autumn so a third of the stick I might have made now wouldn’t be suitable for the later season.

    Still one down…
