@greentiger I am lucky enough to have a neighbour who does the shared garden. He’s away for a few months so figured I’d try to do some weeding and mow the lawn when it’s dry enough. It’s pretty much sorted so I only need to potter a bit.

Plug plants have not really survived so far. I have more arrived today (lavender). I fear for them. Of the 71 that I planted (should have been 72) maybe 25 haven’t yet died.

Added another six.  I’ve added three bits to my epp quilt. And I have finally reassembled the painted frames. Yay.

Used up some wall paper for backing and some little inspirational quote cards I got on a Wire hanger thingy as well as having some handy paper tape to use on the back of the frames.

So I’m up to 93 / 250. Again not masses of progress but some. I am extremely pleased that I can get the glass of the kitchen table. I need to hang the pictures but I’m impressed with myself as I no longer have to be careful about breaking it in the kitchen when I go shopping etc.

    23.87 / £250 spent so far.

I’m loving the progress people are making. Everyone seems to be busy.

So I needed some French curve rulers in order to get free delivery I spent
£20.20.  Also got safety goggles and some copper with tweezers for other projects.

    44.07 / £250 spent so far

no further items finished - but I’m sat reading a book planning my next dress make - hopefully with all sorts of alterations to make it fit amazingly. 🥰

Good morning everyone, so cheerful to sit in my very sunny kitchen this morning.

This week I've finished the bed runner for dsil. It's stunning - not fabrics or colours I would choose but it's turned out really beautiful. Lesson to myself - be more daring 🤔.

Yesterday I went through my stash for fabrics to make the Debbie Shore Christmas throw. I've got 7 of the 8 fat quarters needed and have ordered one fq in gold. I had bought 1.5 m of fabric for the background at the craft show. I will use wadding and backing fabric from my stash.

On the knitting front I decided to use some fawn King Cole Comfort Aran to knit a set for my new dgs due in May. I have just over 300g so should be enough to knit collared jacket, hat and mittens. I first knitted this pattern 42 years ago when expecting my firstborn ( twins - a boy and girl). That was when I developed a real dislike of white baby knitting. It was so boring knitting so much in white 🤨

Today I will cut and prepare the backing fabric for the throw.  This weeks' sewing are the last memory cushions and hope to finish knitting the baby set.

    Happy Crafting

I’ve done housework. Feeling so chuffed with myself over this. It’s looking good. (It’s been a bit chaotic since I moved in so the small amount of time with my fella not here at a weekend has really helped).

I have hung two pictures. Looking good. And off the floor so they won’t get broken. And I have dyed two cardigans. We’re going to a wedding I have washed a dress never worn from the wardrobe. I have dyed the cardigans chucked the second one in the make it a bit less grey. (Still on the second wash in the machine)…. I have spent on a new bag and some amazing shoes - that are still to arrive. I may sell a few brand new pairs of shoes as I will never master heels that high to cover some of the cost. I have also returned some bits to Dorothy Perkins bought but not right for the wedding.

    97 / 250 completed.

    44.07 / £250 spent so far

I’m loving the chain mail and I do love planning projects. I have some I need to try to get sorted for a sewing retreat in may. I think I need to be realistic about them though. In my head want to take about 7. I’ll manage one. 🤣🤣 maximum.

  • I’ve finally fallen prey to COVID so I’ve been using the time to slowly tackle some crafts and bits that have been in key mending pile. So one dress finished and a pair of dungarees started!

(My mending pile is actually three bags, but let’s not talk about that.)

I hope you feel better soon. And hopefully it’s a mild dose Xxxxx

Also well done on the mending and finishing.

My ironing pile is that big. (I’m considering a bonfire).

yay @emsi_b congrats! Finally! 🥳 hope you settle in well and enjoy your new home!

everyone has been so busy but I have nothing new to report 😂 Everyday is spent trying to sort out the mess the last people left of our land/talking to builders etc every evening is spent attempting to plan my wedding (because why not just throw something else into the mix to totally stress myself out eh?!)

So after all that I'm just knackered at the moment 😂
