I will try to work out how much I spent but I buy supplies to make items to sell for raising funds at SA.
I made over 40 pairs of fingerless gloves last year.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

People have been so busy, and made some lovely things. I haven't made a single thing in the first week of March, but I am so busy helping my DH clear up storm damage - lots of heavy lifting - so I'm tired out by the time it comes to sit down and make anything. Hopefully, I'll get a few small things done by the end of the month.GC Feb 25 - £225.54/£250 Mar £218.63/£2404

Good work, Wraithlady; just think, if you DO decide to quilt your lap quilt, then you’ll be using up some thread stash!
Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine, what pattern did you use for your trousers? I have never been happy with any trousers I made ☹ The best ones were matching dusky pink peached denim efforts, made for me and my husband, lol. To be fair, it was the 70s, lol. I did make pyjama bottoms last year, which I love, and I thought that pattern might work for lightweight summer trousers.
Oh, nimbo, I hope you’re ok! I had covid a couple of weeks ago, but I was completely asymptomatic! I only found out because I had a PCR test when my husband got it. The best thing was, he got out of covid jail 3 days before me!
Pleased to meet you, Florenceem. Those fingerless gloves are fab – and great for using up oddments. Where did you find the pattern?
I’m sorry to hear you have storm damage, AnimalTribe. I hope you’re ok.
As for me, the expected baby arrived on Monday, a day early (of course). I hate the quilt I’m making; it’s been a bind, nothing is lining up properly. It’s been unpicked so often now, I’m sick of the sight of it. It’s not even a difficult design. I’m feeling like abandoning the whole project and shoving it in a dark corner somewhere to bring out at a (much) later date and ‘reimagine’ it. I do have a quilt I made a couple of years ago for someone else, but I didn’t like that one then, either. When I looked at it today, it’s actually fine - by comparison with the one that’s driving me crackers, anyway!
I got started on the second crochet jumper, but I ran out of wool for the second sleeve and the welt, so I’ll have to buy some to get it finished. I chose to make the 3mths – 6mths size, hoping to avoid that.

I had a brilliant time at the Craft Exhibition in Glasgow. I'm afraid I did add to my wool and fabric stash but have managed to totally justify it in my mind 🤪
I had started knitting a striped cardigan for dgd but decided I didn't like it so I ripped it back and am now knitting a pale blue lacy cardigan for her. The back and both sleeves are done so just the fronts and bands to do.
This weeks' sewing has been a bed runner for my sister in law that isn't using my stash at all - except for thread. My sil choose the fabric to go with a William Morris duvet set. Colours and patterns that I wouldn't have put together at all and yet it is going to be stunning.I joined the Debbie Shore Half Yard Club on Saturday. There is a quilting block every month and in December I should have a lovely Xmas quilt. It uses different types of quilting and Applique and I'm hoping that will motivate me into learning new techniques. It will use 8 Xmas fat quarters and wadding from my stash. I bought the other fabric required yesterday at the craft show.
It is very cold here this morning but beautiful in the sunshine. I think I'll go for a walk after lunchDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

greentiger - I found the pattern on You Tu..
plumduff55 - when I have visited the big craft show at the NEC Birmingham in the past - came home with so much stuff. Not been to a craft show for some years now but then do I need to add to my stash - a big NO!
I am knitting creme egg covers at the moment.

Hi everyone
Looks like others on here have merrily been crafting which is nice to see. Great pictures posted of what has been made too.
I was on 5/25 items to make and have now completed jazzing up another pair of dungarees. The dungarees that I am jazzing up are taking a long time which I don't mind as they end up being totally unique. I will put pics on here but to be honest I find it such a faff on my laptop so I keep putting it off.
My total spending was £9.21/50 and I have just added:-
£5.99 new pair of scissors
£3.15 screwdriver set for my sewing machine
£2.50 new marker pen that apparently totally disappears from the fabric after a few days - I'll see if it does or not.
£3.99 pack of pins with round disc flat heads
6/25 projects finished
£15.63/£50 spends so far

You are all doing so well!
I haven't made anything else yet as had a busy few weekends. I did buy something else though. Oops! My MIL made me some lovely gift tags, using old birthday cards she had received and a 3 in 1 tag punch she had. They came out so lovely! It's a very simple tool, but produced really effective results. So naturally I couldn't resist purchasing my own from Amazon for £12.99 *facepalm* In my defence though, I didn't use my own money as I had an Amazon voucher, and I can recycle cards received more easily nowFebruary wins: Theatre tickets4 -
@greentiger I used the pattern Carrie from Sew Over It. They have an elasticated back and flat front so sit perfectly (to me) in between totally comfy trousers and smart ones. I made my first pair in stretchy comfy material and next will try a cotton for summer trousers! Thinking 50s vibes. They also have pockets which is a little miracle in themselves!5
