Don't worry about the photo size, there are quite a few of us on here that have no idea how to make them smaller. Maybe someone knows and will post how to reduce the photo size for posting on here. That would be handy if anyone knows.

I've been AWOL for a month (how did that happen?) and you've all been so busy and creative, so this is a long post. I've not done much, but I'll do an update tomorrow, hopefully.
First of all, 'hi' to old and new friends. What a pretty bracelets, Auti!
Well done, emsi _b on getting started on cards.
I love and understand the pmc/fimo confusion, nimbo. I often am convinced I have something and when I finally unearth it – it’s something else altogether! But I’m guessing you did enjoy the course, lol. Oh and silversmithing sounds really fun. And now lampshade making! English paper piecing now and framed pictures! Your bow has many interesting and varied strings! Did you buy the pew?
Lovely cards, Deb4. Your ‘Isabelle’ picture is really pretty. Those gnome cards and crayons are cute. I like your Easter treats.
I’m impressed you have set a budget, AnimalTribe – and you are using it! What cute ornaments and egg cosies you made. Good outside-the-box thinking to use 4 ply wool doubled instead of buying more DK.
Wow, pennib, your canvas is impressive! Did you design it yourself? I have one that I started some years ago (I used to do a lot of tapestry work). It was a brand new kit I found in a charity shop for a couple of pounds. I’ve got a lot of the background to do, which is not terribly interesting and I need good natural daylight for it. I have daylight bulbs but I don’t like them for this kind of work. I am trying NOT to look up paper clay, but those toadstools are making it difficult!
It’s great to hear that your business is keeping you busy, craftingmad. Long may it continue. Your foil cards are lovely. Oh, and you’ve just reminded me that I have foils that I bought when I was having chemo – 12 years ago – and never used. Now, where are they … I do know where there is a big fat roll of double sided sticky which I bought to use on die cuts. Have I? Yes, once and it was a fiddle to get the backing off! I need to try again.
I love your stone bracelet, irida150.
ChainikCrafts, I hate missing out on free postage too! Well done on making a dress that you like the fit of. It’ll give you great pleasure in the summer.
Edwink, you’ve made good use of your budget getting those curtains to make your dungarees.
Pretty scrunchies, euronorris. I keep meaning to make a notebook holder but … Happy to hear you’re using your overlocker; they scare me!
Tiggermad, well done on making the dinosaur book.
You are doing a grand job with those doggy dvets, katiehound.
plumduff55, I had to stop going to that craft show as it was just too tempting, so please go and enjoy it for me! Well done on knits completed.
Your dress sound impressive, Snowflake Bunny.
Keep up the good work, everyone.

Hi, beautiful sunny morning here - good to be able to hang the washing out.
Ive finished the knitted hats and mitts and just have to sew them up now - my least favourite job 😕 and now to decide on my next project. It's between a dk waistcoat for myself in fuschia or a colour blocked dk cardigan also for myself. I knitted the same cardigan 30 years ago and loved it. I wore it till it was falling apart. It certainly would use up lots of odd balls of wool.
I needed more vilene as I used the last of it for the memory cushion I'm making. I should have that finished today as I've just to do the embroidered heart. Managed to buy 5 yards of vilene from eBay for £7.99 which is a great price.Euronorris, your organiser is brilliant. It would make a great Christmas present for a couple of the grandkids. I've made plenty tote bags but nothing as structured as your organiser. What did you use to stiffen the fabric? Did you use a pattern?
I got a label printer at Christmas and yesterday was the first time I dared to use it. Well, it's the best toy I've had in years and I had a great time labelling all the jars in the kitchen. Going to go and see if I can find any more anonymous containers needing a name 😂😂😂

Plumduff55 I know what you mean about sewing knitted items up. I have loads of small things I knitted last year that are still in pieces. The excuse I keep making is that they are toys and once I stuff them I will have no room to store them. I will get around to it one of these days.GC Feb 25 - £225.54/£250 Mar £218.63/£2405

Hi, again! As promised, this will be a short post
I've not got much done in the last month - 4 masks, buttons on Christmas cushion covers and a repair to my trousers.was the extent of my completed sewing. I have started on the baby quilt, but that's not a stashbuster as I bought the fabric; it's actually a stashcreator as i will have lots of bits to store away. lol, for another project sometime. It's been on the back burner for the last 10 days as I had Covid and I did not want to touch anything; I haven't even been in the same room as my crafting stuff! I had NO symptoms and only found out when I went for a PCR test because husband was under the weather. He had a slight sore throat and a bit of a cough. We were both triple jagged, so that probably helped us. I get to escapefrom Covid Jail on Wednesday.
I finished knitting that pair of socks, finally. Next, startingon Wednesday,I'm going to crochet a wee jumper for my charity box.
I've made Chinese New Year cards and a Valentine card. I've a friend's birthday coming up at the weekend and it's my granddaughter's 4th birthday next week, so I'll be making them before I start to sew again.

Hi @plumduff55 I loosely followed this pattern: https://www.deenarutter.com/sewing-with-kate-pencil-and-notebook-case-tutorial/
Though I modified it to fit what I was including (I just measured up the pocket part, with the stationary in place, marked with chalk and then removed the stationary and stitched accordingly). I also added the handles, rather than ties.
I used some wadding I had (quilting type) to give it the structure it needs, whilst maintaining flexibility.
The one thing I would say is that the measurements could do with being a half inch more on the height, as the A5 notebook only *just* fits in.February wins: Theatre tickets4 -
Thanks euronorris, I like the changes you made especially the handles. I have saved the website link and will definitely make it for dgd who's 9 and loves drawing and writing.
I finished this baby quilt last week. It's the easiest pattern and great for using up scraps although most of the fabric was a bundle bought from Aldi last year. It's for new baby due in May xx does anyone know how to make photo smaller?Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Hello, it's great to hear everyone has been busy and to see the lovely makes. I haven't been doing much crafting lately, just sitting in my craft room pondering and hoping for inspiration!
I did manage to make a dog bed for my daughter's labrador puppy. I used a curtain that used to hang in her bedroom and an old duvet so no spending needed.Stash busting challenge 2025: 0/100 £0/£100 Fashion on the ration 2025: 0/665 -
ONCE I started looking through my beady stash I cant seem to stop lol. First time I have done chain maille and think I am addicted ( bits from years ago when I thought I would like to do it but children and life got in the way). A bit fiddly but fun - still got to sew up cardi!5
