Hi everyone, didn't do any knitting last night as I just wasn't in the mood to start a big project ( dk cardi for myself and I like them long and baggy so lots of knitting) so I've decided to just knit a dk cardigan for dgd who's 2. I've found some pink, blue and white Sirdar Snuggly that should be enough to complete a striped or colour blocked cardigan for her.Feeling brilliant tonight as I was at the dentist today - first time in more than 2 years and my teeth are fine. Cost was £45 for hygienist 😱. It used to cost £22 before COVID. Check up was free and X-ray cost £5. But happy to pay that when I don't need any fillings 😃.Awful weather here tonight. Really windy and pouring. Good to be at home in the warm.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

Wow, pennib, your canvas is impressive! Did you design it yourself? I have one that I started some years ago (I used to do a lot of tapestry work). It was a brand new kit I found in a charity shop for a couple of pounds. I’ve got a lot of the background to do, which is not terribly interesting and I need good natural daylight for it. I have daylight bulbs but I don’t like them for this kind of work. I am trying NOT to look up paper clay, but those toadstools are making it difficult.
Yes, greentiger it is my own design. Usually find that I have something in my head and then my hands go off on a tangent, ending up with something different! haha
Paper clay is pretty cheap to buy and here is one of my latest make...Neville the Fisherman, he is very proud of his curly beard! Paper clay head/bird and accessories, the rest of him is mixed media from my stash. Running out of paper clay.....temptation to get some more!

Jings, pennib, you are SOOOO talented. I'm in love with Neville!
I got my birthday cards done plus (as usual) some extras, so 7 in total.
I also started and finished the wee jumper, age 1 - 2 years , so that's 2 x 100g balls of wool and 3 buttons used up. Sadly it has made no noticeable impression on my woolly stash. ! have another lined up, just a tiny size to use up a couple of smaller balls. In other news, the baby for whom I'm making the quilt is due on Tuesday - and it's a long way off ready.

Pennib great fisherman. I love that the worms have eyes. I've spent the month knitting egg cosies in several different designs, 48 in total so that's a fair bit of small balls of wool used up. I haven't sewn them together yet though. This month I'm going to try to finish small projects that are part made.GC Feb 25 - £225.54/£250 Mar £218.63/£2405

Pennib, love your fisherman - he's brilliant 🤩
I'm afraid I've added to my stash this morning 🤨. In my defence it was only 2 balls of wool costing £1.50 each and I will definitely use them. DK cotton yarn to knit dishcloths. I'll get 3 good sized cloths from the 2 balls and very cheap from Poundland.
I'll need to go now and see if I can squeeze them in beside the dk wool.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Finished sewing up the lap quilt - haven't quilted it as I'm not sure if I'm going to or not, but I'm counting it as functionally completed.
Just had a burst of enthusiasm over the weekend - now got to finish the shawl I'm crocheting.

I'm back after two weeks of attempting to rest. Everyone has done such amazing things!
Love the doggy duvets and those Narwhal and Gonk Egg holders were adorable!!
I definitely felt less stressed and more creative-even though now I think I feel more stressed 😂
I did however manage to make a pair of trousers-my first ever "real" sewing project and I'm very happy with them...unfortunately I then did buy more (reduced) fabric to make more as I like them so much!
I'm also very tempted to google paper clay and I wish I didn't know there were Mandalorian fat quarters out there 🙈🙈 haha!4 -
I love Neville he’s a real looker.I’ve managed a whole one 🤣
I’ve got covid. Tried to sew. Wasn’t feeling it. But tried.Prior to this I had sprayed two frames. They may need touching up. I’ve not felt like walking all the way to the garage to check them. I need to arrange one set of prints for them - and the reassemble them if they’re fully covered.79 / 250spent so up to £23.87 / 250. Only adding to keep track. Not exactly earth shattering but there has been a tiny bit of progress.Glad you’re all carrying on. Xx
