This came up on my phone! I'm not sure about that dress. It would be good if she was dressing as a fairy godmother. Lol.
I love bargain hunting in charity shops and my latest haul is so good it’s saved me hundreds and I still look stylish | The Sun
I'm not sure about any of the clothes. (well, I am really).
The red top looks awful.4 -
Cherryfudge said:LOL, @Miró, I took exactly the same picture the other week! They must believe in it because it leaves the window when the shop is shut.
It's not to my taste, though I could be persuaded to take on the £900 if it needs a home.
The things that made me question the chazza bag.....
No serial number stamped on inside label
No authenticity card
No store receipt of original purchase
Shoulder strap missing
Dust bag missing
Box missing
Fabric lining the wrong colour for the bag in this colour leather
Sorry for going on about this but it really has bugged me and it's not even a bag I like particularly!! I just hate to see people conned.

I went to a local charity shop today and bought a few nice things. I bought a sterling silver necklace, a H&M blue jumper with a star pattern, a blue Jacques Vert skirt, a Laura Ashley white tea light holder with a bird pattern. I also got a picture of some beach huts.:) It isn't cheap in there so it came to £42, but I don't mind that.

A good haul!

@Wednesday2000
Love the beach huts!!

Re the Dior bag.....anyone fancy popping in to the shop and putting a note inside the bag to suggest it's a fake? I don't want to do the charity out of some money but also don't like people being taken advantage of. Then again - why anyone would spend so very much on an accessory is completely beyond me. OH paid about 15% of that price for a large leather rucksack with my initials on it for a birthday present but other than that I doubt I've had any bag even new for more than maybe £30. Guess that means someone should report me to the fashion police!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I concur...
Surely they could then be accused of selling fake items themselves as they're claiming its authentic to justify their pricing on it.Wealth is not measured by currency6 -
Miró said:I suggested to the S.A that they might think about getting it professionally authenticated as it was such a high priced item but she said no cos it would cost about £100 to do it and if it was a fake it could be destroyed and they would lose out. I'm pretty sure they know, or at least have doubts about it's authenticity..

Also love the beach huts picture!
I love the idea of popping a note into the 'Dior' bag warning of it's possible fakeness, tho when I asked to see the bag it was taken out of the locked cabinet and plonked on the desk for me to examine and I was watched like a hawk when doing so.
Anyhoo, back on home ground today and my local hospice shop had a BNWT Monsoon midi dress - one of the EcoVero range made from eco-friendly cotton fabric. Original price tag attached £75 but mine for £12. Here it is, (not on me!)

Re the 'Dior' bag:
Isn't there something that says you can't sell fakes?
I know eBay are quick on that.
I've seen programmes like Posh Pawn and they go to great lengths to make sure a bag isn't fake before buying it.
Surely nobody would part with £900 for a bag that doesn't have full provenance?
I'm sure we've had this discussion before on this thread.
I used to go to Goa and they did a lot of fake designer bags.

Dior would come down like a ton of bricks for counterfeiting and being a party to it, I.e. selling a counterfeit item as a genuine one.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
