DigForVictory said:Miro, would you mind if I take up low-level silk scarf envy? Mostly as those colours are glorious, but also you can drape them next your skin, which is a bit less possible with Denby!9

A red Kenzo PU tote bag £5. It’s a lovely pop of colour and it’s a good size with handles that sit right on my shoulders. I assumed it was the kind of gifty thing you get when you buy toiletries but saw one for sale on eBay for £10 which I think is a bit steep.
A lightweight M and S turquoise French Foreign Legion style sun hat for DGS 99p
A Sistema water bottle £2. Good for protein drinks.3 -
coffee out with a friend at a location where I knew there were 3 charity shops within a short waddle. (waddle due to strawberry custard tart....)
So standard line for me ....."a woman goes into a charity shop" and my colleagues normally respond "and bought a scarf!". A lovely wide and long silk scarf that is all crinkly (so no ironing!! ever!!!) bright blue and shocking green ends. No price on it in the shop and when I asked was told "oh I think it's £3 but I'll go check". Now I would have been happy with £3 but she came back and said "I was wrong! It's £2!!" Which was nice.
Also 3 LPs for the OH for £6.50 - 2 deutche gramaphone - one of Berlioz, the other Vivaldi both conducted by Karajan. OH was pleased with the Vivaldi as he'd been looking at it online. Not a big fan of Berlioz but that's ok. The third was a greatest hits of Leonard Cohen - he was really pleased with that one!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Seem to be in dress finding mode just now…got my 3rd dress of the week today, a White Stuff jersey midi with a v neck, 3/4 sleeves and deep frill on the skirt. Bluey grey background with an abstract sort of flowery pattern in cream and peach. Chazza price £10 but BNWT and original price £55. Super comfy so will be very useful!6

I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired with CS recently and wondered if the magic was fading.
However, yesterday I found this Cowboysbag leather hold-all- something that has been on my wish list for a while. It has clearly not been very well looked after and may need a new zip. It is also missing its shoulder strap. But at £5 it was too much lovely thick soft leather to pass up.
I also bought a M and S Indigo white denim dungaree dress which is on the knee length on me for £5. Also a Harry and his dinosaurs book for DGS 99p and a hardback copy of Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve for me (love Arthurian stuff).
So my CS mojo is back.
And hopefully I will find some nice China this weekend.7 -
Ooooh @Potternerd, that hold-all is just crying out for some TLC!! What a fab restoration project! I would be inclined to get one of those stripey webbing shoulder straps for it, loads available on Amazon & EBay. Lovely thick leather - is it very heavy tho? I have one in a similar size but find it just too heavy when loaded up with 'stuff'.
Yesterday's purchase was a Jacques Vert floaty georgette midi skirt in cream with dark grey outlined flowers. I saw it last week and couldn't stop thinking about it so when it was still there yesterday I splurged £4 and got it. Called into the huge barn-like CRUK clearance shop today after not visiting it for a couple of months and was surprised at the price increases. Used to be 'everything £3 or under', now it's 'everything £5 and under'. Sign of the times I guess7 -
