It is a truth universally acknowledged that Rohans are a slightly odd shape. They are formidable good quality though!7

That scarf is gorgeous @Pollycat.
Last week was dismal. I visited tons of CS with little success. I did find a grey velvet White Stuff skirt for £5 and a navy and white striped jersey pull on skirt (for the beach) for £3.
Today a lovely red Bershka faux leather jacket £3
White Adidas trainers £3
A hardback novel £1
and some Tea tree conditioner 50p.7 -

Today in the 99p St Gemma's chazza in Otley I got a Denby coffee pot in perfect condition in the Whisper pattern for.....50p! I have been looking at this pot for a few weeks...it had a £5.99 price label stuck on it but appeared to be crossed out and had a faded new price of 99p on it in green felt tip. Today, all the bric a brac was half price so I decided to get it even if it was half the original chazza price but nope...it really was priced at 99p so 50p to me. I bought the whole dinner/tea set in this pattern about 35 years ago when I had a job that entitled me to 30% off all purchasesI already had the large coffee pot but I think this is the medium one.

Lucky you @Miró! I have a little collection of Denby too, 'Homestead' which hasn't been produced since 1986.
I was in Sue Ryder, today and bought a selection of baby books for my grand daughter. All in beautiful condition and a fraction of the original prices. I paid £13.75. One was a set of four with a DVD, originally £6.99 each.
It was funny too: they must have run out of the correct price labels as some of these were down as adult fiction.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Denby homestead is a glorious cuddleable pattern. Now I do get that not many people choose their kitchen china on how well does it hug, settle in my hands, just fill me with warm comfortable happiness at the touch? Just a lot of Denby pieces do - although some of the new mug shapes less so. Delighted a whisper coffeepot has found you Miro & I recall seeing a teapot in Colne twice and hoping you’d traversed counties successfully when it disappeared!
My husband, my other better self, died of a heart attack last week & I spend a few minutes with the various pieces he’d bring over courting. He found a charity shop teacup had the same “oooh” as flowers, cost less & lasted longer. “Was he romantic?” asked the humanist celebrant (preparing to compose & deliver a brief standup routine at the crematorium) & I, cradling a manor green teacup, could only nod.
So many of my posts here start “oh than man” that it seems right his absence from the hunt be acknowledged.18 -
