  • It was the first time in ages I didn't go to a charity shop at the weekend. I went into east London last night and it was much colder than where I live so I did want to buy a scarf but all the chazzers in Barking were closed. I had to go Asda to get a scarf instead! There was only one scarf in there and it was £6, ouch. Quite warm at least.

I did quite well... a North Face mid-length down coat sans hood for £10, a deep red cable sweater £5, navy blue knit tunic £6 and a deep bluey grey merino sweater £5, all from the Children's Society.

I also scooped up a BNWT Per Una towelling robe, 3 chunky spotted bowls (for use in cooking as my current ones are cracked & chipped) & a Pyrex jug all for £8.50 from Save the Children.

Oh and 2 good jigsaws (I only like photo or art ones, not illustrations) and a Satus Quo cd, Aquostic, for £3.50 from the local Blind Society.

  • I nipped into a small chaz yesterday and pickings were disappointingly slim. I spent 60p in total on some novelty straws for my little niece and a decorative photo / card holder for me.
