Rosa_Damascena said:My hopes of a chazzer trawl this afternoon was completely dashed
I thought I might be able to enjoy fellow MSErs' finds vicariously but there have been no posts.
I had a day out charity shopping in 2 towns and a city.
Total of 23 shops.
All I bought was a new pair of men's sheepskin gloves still in Celtic & Co bag for £4.00 (website price £78.00).
These will be a Christmas gift.
So I went to the pub.

It was the first time in ages I didn't go to a charity shop at the weekend. I went into east London last night and it was much colder than where I live so I did want to buy a scarf but all the chazzers in Barking were closed. I had to go Asda to get a scarf instead! There was only one scarf in there and it was £6, ouch. Quite warm at least.3

Whilst loitering at the bus stop with it one of the ladies sat there said she’d spotted it in the shop too but couldn’t think how she’d get it home……2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I did quite well... a North Face mid-length down coat sans hood for £10, a deep red cable sweater £5, navy blue knit tunic £6 and a deep bluey grey merino sweater £5, all from the Children's Society.
I also scooped up a BNWT Per Una towelling robe, 3 chunky spotted bowls (for use in cooking as my current ones are cracked & chipped) & a Pyrex jug all for £8.50 from Save the Children.
Oh and 2 good jigsaws (I only like photo or art ones, not illustrations) and a Satus Quo cd, Aquostic, for £3.50 from the local Blind Society.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Floss, no ticket needed. The bus driver didn’t even raise an eyebrow 😀 We’re lucky though as it’s full length single deckers on our route but mostly just half full. It had a seat, I had a seat and I didn’t decapitate any other passengers as the table and I disembarked!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Found a couple of bargains yesterday.
BNWT Edinburgh Cashmere 100% cashmere scarf in feminine colours. £5.00 Mencap.
BNWT Lucy Locket Loves Capri leggings. £4.00 local hospice.
If you've never looked at the Lucy Locket Loves website, it's worth a go.
The designs would be enough to get me out to the gym.
You may need sunglasses.

I nipped into a small chaz yesterday and pickings were disappointingly slim. I spent 60p in total on some novelty straws for my little niece and a decorative photo / card holder for me.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.3 -
Yesterday I was back in the chazza shop in Otley that I saw the BNWT M & S Tan ankle boots in last week and much to my surprise they were still there. (Think the price tag of £25 praps put people off) I had talked myself out of buying them last week as they felt a bit too big but yesterday I had thicker socks on and they felt OK so I splurged.6

I had to go out to the GP and the pharmacy so I went to The Cornerstone shop. I only had just over a fiver in my purse so that is all I wanted to spend. I found another pair of slipper boots, M&S brand and a Tie Rack black scarf. All for £5.
The staff in there are really nice. I was chatting to them about buying warm clothes for winter. Then I asked them if they knew a pharmacy that did blood pressure checks and the lady called a local pharmacy to ask them for me.:)
