I love chazzers and I've been lurking and catching up while lazing in bed, putting off putting the second coat of gloss on the spare room skirting boards. So I hope it's ok if I'd add my bargains from the last two months.
Youngest has moved out, taken his bookcases and I let him have 2 sofas which I bought second hand about four years ago, leaving me with only an armchair and very little storage. Two trips to the local hospice chazzer later I am lighter by about £550 but I have a large pine dresser, a bookcase and a four seater M & S sofa that looks hardly sat on.
Other purchases have included a Chinese style quilted jacket, sparkly trainers and a Christmas jumper (under £10 for the lot) and two paperbacks for 98p.
I have a bag of clothes to donate which I'll do next week.Grocery challenge 2024: Annual budget £323.97/120015 -
Happy to have dropped off some of the accumulated stuff in the car to a shop yesterday. They seemed anxious to get books which had concerned me as often they have signs up saying none were needed."Never retract, never explain, never apologise; get things done and let them howl.”7

~Downside - fur collar. Might pop in on trip to town Wednesday, see if it's still there, and if the collar is detachable, and what size it is, and if I can try it on there....
I don;t know if we're back to be able to try things on in shops yet?8 -

My huge box of stuff to donate is now decanted into about six black bin bags. Hubby says he's going to sort his clothes tonight, we'll see.
Yes the prices are very low in my town but next town up are a bit sure of themselves and everything is about £6.50.
However that didn't stop hubby finding two Fat Face jumpers yesterday, £13.50 for both.
Yet more smaller size skinny jean/jeggings for me at similar prices, from M&S the best pair.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

The charity shops on Southend High Street are ridiculously expensive. Elsewhere in town there are plenty that are very reasonable. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -

I've ummed and ahhed about making the trip up to find out the size etc but the more I've thought about it, its not 100% a colour I would opt for, and I'm trying to be less 'make do' about things and only buy what's perfect colour, fit, with my existing items and sparking joy.
So sitting on it for a while has served its purpose.Manifesting Abundance in 2023Fashion On The Ration 2023 36/666 -

Hello everyone, I've read these pages for years but this is the first time I've posted on here!
I think I'm very lucky in this area - I volunteer in the local hospice £1 clearance shop and we get some absolute fabulous bargains in there. I have a theory that the stuff is priced too highly at other shops and subsequently doesn't sell so it ends up with us. I have frequently seen new stuff with labels attached.
We also have a 2 x £2 Air Ambulance clearance shop within a short drive so I go to see if they have any bargains every couple of weeks. Sometimes I'm very lucky and sometimes I'm not!
The trouble is these bargain shops certainly spoil me for all the other shops where I find some of the prices eye watering.7 -
I wish I had £1 or even £2 clearance shops near me! Not sure where I would find my nearest one either. I wonder if charity shop prices will come down as the cost of living increases take hold. I did buy a dress and jeggings in the M&$ sale total £10 mischief cheaper than my local charity shops.7
