Dodged into the CRUK chazza in Northallerton for the second time for shelter after the rain started coming down sideways on Sunday. Found a very nice Sosandar jersey midi dress with a wrap top and tie belt in burgundy for £7.99, (John Lewis price £69.99). I'm sure it wasn't there on my previous visit an hour earlier. Always amuses me how there are two CRUK shops in Northallerton, one each end of the high street....sadly, due to the dreadful weather, I didn't manage the trek to the one at the other end6

Well, I've subscribed now so I'll have a bit of a catch up before joining in properly. I don't think I've bought from a cs so far this year, but DH got me some wool (£2.50). It's a shame charity shops aren't doing yarn so much now when so many people have unwanted items in their stash and it's not good to send it to landfill.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I was in Southend-on-Sea this past weekend and I popped into a Sense charity shop in Leigh-on-Sea. I've heard before that the chazzers in Leigh are good. I was going to go to the hospice charity shop but apparently that has closed down as the volunteer in the Sense shop told me.
I bought a navy New Look jumper, a dark grey cardigan for me and a pair of grey gloves for my husband as he forgot to bring his with him and it was quite cold that day. It all came to £10.:)
There was a lot more I would have bought but I thought we were going to some bars afterwards so I didn't want to lug stuff around. Typically then we didn't go into any bars so I could have bought more!6 -

Waves to @CAFCgirl, @Cherryfudge & @specialkaye and welcome to the thread to the new recruits
(I'm only a part timer in Northallerton....I spend my weekends in Bedale and the rest of the week in the Big Metrollops)
I'm sooooo excited at the mo cos we have a big new St Gemma's Hospice chazza opening up on Saturday, (in the BM!!!) It used to be an Asda so is quite sizeable. Will be selling furniture, bric a brac, clothing and all the usual stuff. It's all set up already and looks very smart. Can't wait to see what goodies they have...it feels like looking forward to Christmas!!! Only downside could be it's right next to the bargainatious Community chazza and they are concerned that they may lose some donations to the new shop. Time will tell I guess.
Quite proud of myself for not buying two items that I seriously considered today.....a B/N pair of Phase Eight burgundy wide legged trousers at £10 and a pair of M & S, B/N white slim fit jeans at £4.49. Already got similar items in my wardrobe, (not that ithat's stopped me before tho!)
