Hi. Just to provide an update as per the latest letter on 10th May.

I have received a letter now from CST Law saying that they have been instructed
by DRP to reclaim the unpaid debt.

They go onto say that they would like to resolve this amicably and without court action which would result
in an incresae of the amount owed, (How kind they are) and that they are providing me with the opportunity
to make the full payment of £170. I have until the 24th May to pay and after that i must keep them updated to my current
address (i am actually moving, so do i need to do this) to ensure that any CCJ are correctly directed to me.

    Thoughts and feedback appreciated.

Wow yes, OF COURSE you must update your address unless you want a CCJ behind your back!

    Hi. Another update. Persistant buggers.
I have today received another letter this time from CST Law, who has been instructed by MET Parking to commence legal actions against me. They are asking for payment (yeah right) and have sent a load of paperwork asking me to clarify what
my position is asking is i agree to the debt or owe some of the debt etc and a sheet for me to complete which asks for my entire breakdown of my income, savings, outgoings etc.

I will continue to ignore these, but if this helps someone else who is nervous about the persistance of these companies then that is a positive.

    Thoughts please.

Sounds like a LBC so you shouldn't be ignoring it. The NEWBIES thread tells you the difference in post #2, and what to do.

Does this sound like MET are now starting legal actions where they never did before?

None of that is any of their business! And this dog sh*t Law Firm are getting way above their station by asking/ demanding this information!  They've been known to abuse this data by attempting to contact people at their work/ places of education in the recent past!

Don't ignore the letter- but do not divulge anything to these clowns as they cannot be trusted!!!

I never heard anything else from them until a week or so ago and they sent an UNPAID DEBT REMINDER NOTICE giving me 2 weeks to pay. I ignored this letter as i just assumed they were trying it on again and seeing what money they could get out of me.

Today i received anothe letter titled LETTER BEFORE CLAIM, which is the same as they sent me 15 months ago, which i did not respond to (probably incorrectly).

This is saying that i have 30 days from the date of the letter to reply or pay and there is a reply form which gives me
    the following options:
    A - I agree i owe the debt
B - I owe some of the debt, but not all of it
C - I dont know wheter i owe the debt
    D - I dispute the debt

Then a nother form askng me how im going to pay and finally a standard financial statement whihc is asking for loads of personal information, dependants, income, family income outgoings etc.

Surely if they wanted ot take this further they would have. The whole Stansted parking thign is such a scam its a joke.

Any thoughts or advise as i would have thought it unlikelt that they woudl take it to court.

  • So, another LoC. Go back now and read the second post of the Newbies/FAQ thread which details what you should do and by when.
