  • I'm still following and still here in spirit. Just waiting to move house and going to call my financial situation at that point ground zero. I'm currently spending savings, but when my house goes through my savings will have a huge boost. I don't think that counts as "saving" so I will start at that point.

Congrats to everyone else on all the progress being made. I can't wait to join in properly.

    Hello all :)

Reporting £2333.49 for March, form updated. Big month as expenses have finally been paid. Van passed her MOT today, no work to be done which is great considering she's 20 years old  B) so no big spends to come out! (Famous last words)

    • #56 reporting a rather belated update for February, only £1,166.94 this month (aiming for £1,500) but had some unexpected expenses in January which needed paying off the credit card this month.
It'll give me a push to find some ways of making extra income!

@Sandyra - a quick tip - if you click on a person's name you can see when they last logged in - she has not missed it, she has not popped in (she has had long covid and it is all a bit behind)

    • Mini-update from me: saved around £21 off of my phone bill after getting a SIM-only deal so that will help with price rises elsewhere. Already changed my internet in January (oddly enough my phone and internet providers have swapped from what they were before January), can't change my energy provider just yet as mine went bust (Together Energy), but at least my council tax hasn't gone up much, just another £3-5 per month.

The bigger news though is that yesterday I found out what my new pay was going to be - I already knew they'd have to increase it due to the increase in minimum wage, but it's actually an 11% increase due to the pay restructure that the company has done. I'll have to start paying off my student loan again, but it should mean that I'm about £75-£100 per pay (as we get paid every 4 weeks rather than monthly) better off. I was looking for other jobs before this but I might well just stay put and see if I get moved to the next salary band next April.
