  • Can you now proceed to push the system into giving you an actual live statement ? 

    Or is leaving before end of 2022 the only way to know where you really stand (without a manual calculation).

    Yes, you can ask an agent on Chat to produce a bill, but maybe wait till 31st March when you give them your readings in preparation for the price increase.

    I've had my correct zog credit. No bills or direct debits yet. Chat agents keep giving different answers. Is there anywhere to switch to though?

    Well I've finally got a bill, of sorts; 15th - 31st December. Just the 31st December at the DD rate - why couldn't they apply that to all of it instead of creating, yet another, thing for them to get wrong at some point?

    Why haven't they used the Zog final/EDF first reading? My Zog account was settled weeks ago.

    Thank goodness I'm moving, fairly soon. They'll have to settle the whole account then and I can have nothing to do with EDF ever again. (said in hope more than expectation)

    Interestingly they have sent me a cheque for the credit (according to the account activity timeline) without offsetting any charge for the early part of December.

    Tried Chat again this a.m to raise the cash vs DD overcharging issue but it's still clogged up - autochatbot can't answer but won't connect to human being !!
  • @Umiamz After your reply yesterday, I presume that you are going to notify EDF of that shortfall. 😉

    Seriously, I don't think I'll need to, even if I was inclined to brave their agents. They seem quite capable of raising bills, even for closed accounts.
  • I suppose in some perverse sort of way, it’s gratifying to realise, from the evidence and number of threads on this board, that it isn’t just EDF whose admin and procedures are appalling, it’s all of the big suppliers, with a special dishonourable mention for British Gas. Yet they still manage to make profits hand over fist.
