edit: the £40.07 that had disappeared from my balance has turned up as a £38.16 (=£40.07 inc VAT) bill adjustment on this with no explanation
Will check figures during the day & send them an email also inquiring when they intend to credit back for units previously charged at non-DD rate even though I had set up the DD by the end of Jan (as per their email).0 -
Another night owl. Ain’t this grand? Who needs relaxation?Adjusted initial bill received overnight again, ostensibly for the period 15 Dec 2021 to 16th Feb 2022.
Shows a one line CREDIT entry for ‘Your balance transferred from your previous supplier’ of £72.85, which is fine.
However, it also includes a one line DEBIT entry for ‘Bill adjustment’ of £22.70 before vat, which is completely unexplained, undated and uncalculated. Which is not fine. Or acceptable from a multinational organisation.

Just had my first bill, it only covers 15 Dec to 24 Dec, I have also received my credit from Zog of 67.11.0

Robin9 said:No idea what EDF are playing at - in addition to my regular DD of £60 there is a second now showing on Bills and Payments of £36.77 a few days before. Perhaps it's the Dec 5 -14 bit or just a random amount.
Spoke to Chat - " Thank you for your time. There was a credit balance of £83.23, then a credit balance was also transferred to us £61.20 which added the credit as £144.43 after the latest bill got generated today which was £178.46 the last credit £144.43 has been adjust and remaining £34.03 to pay"But why is the DD £36.77 not £34.03 ?
Chat - try a refresh.
Still £36.77

Still £36.77
No sign of a bill on Bills and Statements
The £36.77 extra DD has disappeared from Bills and Payments. (Edit - that was the mysterious opening debt plus VAT)
Like others a mysterious opening debt with no explanation. - presumably associated with the Dec 5-14 period as that hasn't been billed yet.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I switched away from EDF over 2 months ago and my account is closed (although I can still log in). However, the Zog credit has appeared in my account overnight.
No sign of any charge from the 5th to the 14th Dec yet, though.0 -

There are 2 different tariff prices for my bill and i am not sure why as they have my DD details.
As with a few people on here i have had to input bank details twice as my 1st DD was not taken.
I have also noticed that my DD will now be £ 54.22 when i upped it to £50 last month and EDF will collect the outstanding £4.22 on top of the £50.
My bill is only for £35.69 for 23 days and i have paid them £195 so far including Zog credit so i don't know why they need the extra £4.220 -

No sign of any charge from the 5th to the 14th Dec yet, though. It would also seem that those of us who stayed with EDF have been ‘penalised’ with an extra charge, while those who moved have not. Nice touch by EDF.0 -

Zog credit has been applied as expected . As I am on a fixed direct debit I won't receive a statement until the summer but as I keep my own usage records I personally don't see that as an issue.
EDF has done what they promised they would do so no drama here.0 -
Got my first bill this a.m nominally covering 15th to 24th Dec. Includes the correct Zog credit (tick) but also an unexplained "bill adjustment" that, I presume, covers the period from Zog failure to the 15th. Also looks like they haven't charged at the DD rate until 23rd December when my DD was set up, as per everyone else!
Overall ,I reckon I'm about £3.75 out vs the DD rate being applied from first day with them. Now I have to decide whether it's worth battling with chat to have the bill reissued .......................0
