That would be logical were it not for the fact that we are talking about 4 different suppliers (2 of whom are now in administration), and two different Administrators. There is no norm for these things. As demonstrated by the last 107 pages of this thread, EDF isn’t winning any prizes for its administration or customer service.
Pah and pfft. Only 107 pages on this thread. I haven’t checked the threads for all the other SoLR suppliers, but as I know from personal experience, the main Neon Reef/British Gas thread currently stands at 242 pages. Does that mean BG are more than twice as bad as EDF?

Neon Reef failed with a customer base three times the size of Zog!  Zog issued Final Bills to its ex customers at the end of December last year. I read nothing into it other than there are no timescales for credit balances being added to SoLR accounts. My comments about EDF customer service stand.

In the recent MSE poll about SoLRs, BG's Net Experience Score was -56 and EDF's was -29, so that's more than likely.

Except that EDF claims they aren't final bills 😫

@Gerry1 Yes, I saw that (last week?).

@[Deleted User] Not disagreeing. Both BG and EDF are appalling.

Re SoLR - do the big suppliers volunteer, or are they nominated by Ofgem? If the latter, does the supplier have the option to say no, or is it compulsory/would be held against you?

It’s like my manager doubling my workload. I might well get double the pay, but if it’s impossible to do, I don’t want it.

Suppliers are asked to come forward but  OFGEM can appoint any licenced supplier to take on the customers of a failed supplier, it is part of their licence conditions / energy acts.

Just asked to up my DD after eventually figuring out how to do it with help from here (i.e. there is not a direct link from my account to the page although a new update to the app did include a link).  What a faff, having to ask for someone to approve it.  Their IT really is still in the last century !

Had my Zog credit today -  as per Zog's final statement
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • My EDF account balance has changed again, and the implication is that I have now received my Zog credit. But still no detail or explanation is given, not even a mention of Zog.
