I had still had no bills at all from EDF, so yesterday I finally used the chat. I was told, "The bill was stuck due to some technical error. Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience."

I now finally have a bill. The opening reading is the one I gave EDF, but this is not the closing reading used by Zog, so some units are missing. There is also a gap in the standing charge. In addition, they have not honoured their promise to charge for the period before I switched to direct debit at the DD rate. Perhaps they plan to refund it later; I'll believe that when I see it. As it stands, this has cost me an extra £1.75.

I now wait with baited breath to see whether a bill is generated after I give my April meter reading.

I'm in broadly the same position; there's a few cubic metres not yet billed between Zog's closing bill and EDF's opening estimate, and I haven't seen an adjustment for the time before they would let me set up a DD either.
I'm hoping it will all get reconciled when the Zog credit is added.

Is there a way to increase my direct debit payment without having to contact EDF.
I've had a look at my account and trawled edfs website but not had any luck.
Or would I just be as well to make an extra payment each month via my account until I get my 6 monthly review?

Need to log into your My Account via website. Go into menu, My Direct Debit, Increase My Direct Debit, put in the amount you want then submit

Found it, when I logged onto chat some options came up, one with this URL https://my.edfenergy.com/existing-customers/forms/change-dd-amount
    Thanks for the advice.

Have you tried the app? The option appears to be there.

Yes that was the first place I tried, there is an option in the app that takes you to the website but where it takes me there was nowhere to increase payments.
I've managed to sort it now in the post above yours.
    Thank you.

Nice to see that EDF's consistency of info on their website continues. I presumed (perhaps one shouldn't with EDF !) that "

Budget Direct Debit (regular monthly payments)

You get two check-ins each year to keep your payments on track.

We'll let you know if your payments need to go up, down or stay the same after each check-in

    meant every 6 months.

My gas (ex Zog) is July 22 (8 months in)

My elec (ex GNE) is Sept 22 (last was Aug 21 - so 13 months)  BUT under my Bills and Payments - next review is tomorrow.

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
