Energy off 3 days & counting after storm. What can I do?

They have been awful. Especially the comms. Lies today that "we have contacted all affected customers".
What they should have said was "all affected customers have sat on unanswered phone lines for hours".
4 days in still no update.1 -
In the interests of balance, and I appreciate it's no consolation to the OP, but we're in NPG region (north Northumberland) and power was back on after 19 hours. Received 3 emails and a text regarding progress.
There are obviously problems, and I can't imagine what it must be like to still be without power, but credit where it's due in some cases.2 -
This seems to sum up the current situation.

When a team show up & can't do job as they don't have access to the system that had the details I reported, and are actually the wrong team, then criticism is warranted.Fairzo said:In the interests of balance, and I appreciate it's no consolation to the OP, but we're in NPG region (north Northumberland) and power was back on after 19 hours. 4 days in & one very hard to get update with a lady on the phone who said they're not allowed to get updates from engineer scheduling teams. Brilliant.
No texts no emails, nothing.1 -

No pun intended but needs a root & branch review. Some of the wires etc down in our street looked victorian. That can't have helped.
NPG seem to have nowhere near the organisational capability to cope. I'm not suggesting anyone should have 1000s of staff just in case, but to not take any calls from anyone (another hour on phone for me then cut off) is shocking. Website has times on but as we're on our third expected fix date now that's clearly just placeholders.0 -
Hi,I think what's wrong with folks is that they think, why am I not getting sorted, there are a lot more than you still waiting.Oh, and might as well throw in the American, 'where's my compo' attitude.1

Just as well it's not 2025 when landlines won't work during a power failure. Dozy Ofcom isn't even planning to make telcos issue battery back-up units to households by default, and even if you do recognise the problem and insist on one, it will expire after just one hour.Few people realise that mobile phones can't be relied upon as an alternative, because their base stations often have no battery back-up and will fail at the same time.Freezing cold and dark, increased risk of slips, trips and falls, strokes, heart attacks, fires etc. No way of calling 999. What could possibly go wrong?6

That's why they're written into UK law.https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/699/pdfs/uksi_20150699_en.pdf

Crikey. Let's see how reasonable you are 4 days with no idea when you'll have power.[Deleted User] said:Hi,I think what's wrong with folks is that they think, why am I not getting sorted, there are a lot more than you still waiting.Oh, and might as well throw in the American, 'where's my compo' attitude.
I'll just shut up & move out then eh? Wouldn't want to make a fuss after all.5
