Energy off 3 days & counting after storm. What can I do?
Reported electricity off at 2130 on Fri. No comms from Northern Power grid apart from a message online saying fixed by 1200 today. Nobody here.
Now their site says not aware of a power cut at my address.
Their emergency line won't take calls.
Their non emergency line won't take calls.
Their website has no reliable info.
They won't respond to tweets.
Any advice? Is 9c in house 3rd day running.

40 houses in postcode area. In our street there are 3 out of 10 houses out. Seems random cables have fallen.
Comms have been non existent. Their site now says variously that 1) they will have fixed us by 1200 today or 2) they aren't aware of an issue depending how you search an update map.0 -

That's outrageous and you will be entitled to a little compensation (emphasis on the little)

Literally no comms past a twitter message, which I only got after reporting live wires dangling in street.
That said would be fixed by 1200 today or they would update.
Guess what.. No fix & no update.0 -
have you spoken to the neighbours? You should all collectively do something, get on to your MP and call the local radio stations and newspapers.

Swipe said:That's outrageous and you will be entitled to a little compensation (emphasis on the little)Hi,how can you say that when you don't know the cause of the damage. Was it an over head line brought down, sub station shut down? It's not just as easy as flicking a switch, the fault has to be found and then repaired.Would you've been happy going out in the storm on Friday night, maybe trekking across fields to find and repair a broken pole?

I did that for them & made an accurate report of lines down & live wires hanging in street.0
