Might even consider actually closing the account: that's seriously bad news....
All I can say is the double rewards were good whilst they lasted.
Adios Barclays!!
The current scheme runs for another 2 or 3 months.
The new scheme won't actually cost anything if there are still two DDs.
£5 fee, £5 credit if you have two DDs, more if you have a mortgage or insurance. No actual loss.
So nothing to lose by staying is there? At least until there's another switching offer that can be used!
And there are the as-yet-unannounced "offers and special extras". I'm staying to see what those might be.
They might be rubbish, but might not be.0 -
Barclays is my main account, I won’t be moving. Hope they don’t scrap the Little Book of Wonders though!0

No, I'm not going ... yet ...but I have seen those other 'extra' goodies (or what they had proposed) and there was nowt for me.
I am already working 'in the dark' as I cannnot access either my main a/c or blue rewards online as I have old computer/ old Firefox which I can not upgrade so anytime I want to do anything I have to phone up. They have already threatened that you need to access your account online only to get the rewards....
I can not see the point of paying out £5 to earn £5
So it will , ultimately, be 'bye bye'
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Don't have smart phone or any apps & that might be essential.
Strangely enough I like cash rewards- then I can spend them as & when I want.......

Another one bites the dust. Been slowly whittling my bank accounts and credit cards down, this year. Less paperwork. Less to keep track of.1

Well, I've gone early...
Decided to take up the offer from Halifax for a £125 switching bonus and £5/month.
Shame really, as my main account has been with Barclays for 30 years!0
