Barclays used to be really good for offers, now they are appalling.
there really is no reason to stay.0 -

So you both do and don’t get charged the monthly fee? Only Barclays are capable of this level of complication, will be glad to be rid of them. Is the wallet closed separately? Is the monthly fee due twice normally? I only pay it once £4 and it won’t be charged when I cancel rewards but it will be charged until I close the Wallet. Hello Barclays I want to close my wallet.0 -
We will no longer charge you the monthly fee, but we will still take money equal to the fee from your account on a monthly basis.
Makes perfect sense.0 -
I know it's been updated already.... But this was in my email 10 mins ago...
Edit sorry it's not in order, taken with phone and I can't edit properly for some reason1 -
Due to this, I just switched one account to HSBC for the £150 switch deal and the other I will move once my Mortgage is out of it fixed rate and I can remortgage to another bank without charges. Barclays will then have none of my money in it.0

I also have just switched to nationwide for there offer.0

I have no more offers left that I am eligible for 😢2

Might even consider actually closing the account: that's seriously bad news....
All I can say is the double rewards were good whilst they lasted.
Adios Barclays!!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Adios Barclays!!
The current scheme runs for another 2 or 3 months.
The new scheme won't actually cost anything if there are still two DDs.
£5 fee, £5 credit if you have two DDs, more if you have a mortgage or insurance. No actual loss.
So nothing to lose by staying is there? At least until there's another switching offer that can be used!
And there are the as-yet-unannounced "offers and special extras". I'm staying to see what those might be.
They might be rubbish, but might not be.
