Interested (or maybe a little shocked) to read this on their website...

"If you've recently given us meter readings and are expecting a bill, then it's just to let you know that this can take up to 2 weeks to be generated."

2 weeks!!!    How can a process that it done electronically take 2 weeks?!!!

Surely its a simple as submit readings (either manually or by SM), they run an algorithm to check they are not wildly inaccurate or false, the figures get pumped into the system and an automatically generated bill pops out, and you get an automated e-mail to say it's ready.

How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.57% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2024)

Latest DD tariff I have for Next Flex is ...

    Elec  20.316p S/C 23.770p

    Gas 3.987p S/C 26.123p

    Is this correct?
These look similar to the rates for the NE.  Type in your postcode and you will see the current DD rates for your area.

    https://www.eonnext.com/tariff-search
Yep they look correct for my area.
Should have said I'm East Midlands.
So having double checked I'm on the receipt of bill tariff, should be on DD tariff.

The tariff has a smart meter requirement, and I got the request to fit one a couple of days ago. Booked online for 8th December.
That didn't go so well, though may not actually be Eon's fault. Engineer turned up took one look and said  "I can't do this, my worksheet says it's a 3 phase supply, but you've actually got single phase". And with that he apologised and left.

Was wondering if any former Igloo customers who had credit balances transferred over to  Eon Next and still a customer have asked for a credit refund, I did and it was rejected despite me paying on receipt of bill by direct debit, I have asked for both the rejection and no communication about it to be treated as a complaint. ( concerned team they call it) Twitter Energy Specialist subsequently resubmitted credit refund request £30 less than I asked for.
Transpires that when paying by direct debit paying on receipt of biill, a planned paynent still gets taken even if in interim period another Bill gets issued.  On 1st Dec. 2021 your new balance was £35.97 DR You opt to pay your balance in full each month. We will request a Direct Debit payment of £35.97 on 17th December 2021 ( £29.37 was still taken on 8th with remaining balance still planned to be taken on 17th had I not known to ask for it to be cancelled )
Complete balance was cleared on 2nd December when Igloo credit balance was transferred over. Bill dated 2 December,  You opt to pay your balance in full each month. No payment is currently due.
Postive aspect £50 referral credit has been added today after friends Electricity switch completed and first direct debit went out. ( he signed up to fixed and changed to variable rate tariff on day switch completed)

My credit with Igloo was all wiped out when firstly the last Igloo bill was taken then my first Eon.next bill was generated.
So £127 in credit with Igloo but before it was transferred they deducted  -£32  (my last bill from them) that left £95 in credit. Then Eon.Next pulled their first bill from me -£98 so it left my account -£3. I've since paid my first DD of £70 so I'm £67 in credit.😁
The first bill from Eon.Next was to cover 48 days energy usage.
So no chance of me even asking for my credit back, all the above happened within 1 week.

Well it's been 2 weeks since my manual readings were submitted on the 1st and still no bill.   Not quite sure what they're up to.

Anyway, I'm not going to bother to query it at the moment.   Will wait and see if the smart meter sends readings later in the month, and I'll also submit my own on 1st January 2022.

If still no bill then, then I will query it.

Hi , I really need your help
I have moved house recently , I have been living there for almost 3 years , I have received email today , the final bill shows I have to clear 3500£ !! extra on top of monthly payment 138£ which I have been paying on monthly bases for the last 3 years , I noticed that my tariff was fixed until April 2020 then changed to eon next tariff name next flex , I have submitted last meter reading before I left , the online account showed credit of 380£ but when I asked to cleared and get refund , they have send this email , I am waiting for there call to investigate that urgently , any idea what is happening ? the only concern is that my tariff changed to eon next tariff name next flex , is that possible for average flat size of two bedroom to pay this huge amount ! this will be more 300£ per month !! I am really worried , appreciate your input thanx

Q1)  Did you submit regular readings to Eon suring the 3 years you were in this property?
Q2)  If Yes, did Eon give you regular statements and use the meter reads provided by yourself or were they all estimated reads?

Not happy with what I am having to pay as an ex Symbio customer but can't complain about the service.  Initially the account showed the tariff as pay on receipt of bill but contacted them and the billed use immediately changed to the correct amount.  Long wait for an actual bill but it was correct when it arrived.  Submitted my monthly read today as was usual with Symbio.  Correct amount was showing as a debit immediately and the bill came through about an hour or so later. Will continue with reads on last day of month and DD taken on first.
