eon next tariff name next flex

Hi , I really need your help
I have moved house recently , I have been living there for almost 3 years , I have received email today , the final bill shows I have to clear 3500£ !! extra on top of monthly payment 138£ which I have been paying on monthly bases for the last 3 years , I noticed that my tariff was fixed until April 2020 then changed to eon next tariff name next flex , I have submitted last meter reading before I left , the online account showed credit of 380£ but when I asked to cleared and get refund , they have send this email , I am waiting for there call to investigate that urgently , any idea what is happening ? the only concern is that my tariff changed to eon next tariff name next flex , is that possible for average flat size of two bedroom to pay this huge amount ! this will be more 300£ per month !! I am really worried , appreciate your input thanx

Please post a complete copy of the final bill you have received (remove personally identifiable data first)

I'm sure someone will then be able to expain it to you.

What i can confirm is that when your fixed tariff came to an end, and you did not agree to any other tariff, you would have been placed on the suppliers SVT, which EonNext do call NextFlex.

I'm going to delete my message and will try to help here.
NextFlex is E.ON Next's standard variable tariff and is the current recommendation for anyone who doesn't have a legacy fix.

What could be happening is that all your past bills were based on estimated readings and when Eon.next got your actual reading they found out you had been using much more electricity than they thought.  Or it could all be some kind of mistake.  It's unlikely that a two bedroom dwelling would use so much electricity but it's by no means impossible.

Online balances can be misleading.  They often show the DD credit and the balance of the previous statement but not the energy used !   and that can be up to 12 months worth.

I am wondering if 1) as has been suggested above that all the readings are estimates and 2) that you misread the meter when you did take a reading.- many meters can be difficult to read.   A copy of that final bill would be good - if not readings from the last few bills please and include the letters A, C and E.

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
