Thanks BrightonBelle, im sure i will loose this month! I have exams and an assignment to do by the middle of this month, my fathers and my boyfriends fathers birthday, my boyfriends brother returning to iraq of afghan wherever hes been for the past 6 months aswell as loosing weight and saving hard. I have never needed a diary in my life untill now!
Hey suggs, happy new year! Sounds like youve had a good christmas minus the illness and the little finger! Hope it all gets cleared up soon. It feels bizarre that your mum is going to be 65, and my dad is going to be 65 this year, yet im 21 and youre older obviouslyi did write alot older but thought id just leave it as "older"

Hey all!!
*waves at all the new people*
Have finally weighed myself (last attempt was, err, before Christmas lol). Kinda confused, scales are showing a 1lb loss! Brings my total loss to 10lbs now. That was weighing on old home scales though, so won't really be shocked when I manage to get to boots next if I show a gain.
Working hard on trying to set some proper, achievable targets... Just can't work out what is and isn't achievable yet! Might actually go out and buy a diet book too, start calorie counting properly... Need to choose which one then though! Argh!! Decisions!!**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0 -
Hi Guys just a quickie to get my weigh in in on time. I did gain over christmas but only 2lbs which is not too bad I said I would be happy with 1 or 2lbs on. I'm just glad we had xmas at mum's so didn't buy anything in & everyone knows I'm losing weight & didn't buy chocs or sweets for me but my DD had a fridge full of chocs given to her back to being good from today although I have a whole trifle left in the fridge from when my parents came to tea last night. Will post properly later when I've finished catching up. been on since 2.30 trying to catch up have managed to get from page 12-26 so far so bye for now!!!Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Ok peeps, I have re-started this year, so I am on zero, my current (and starting weight) is 226.2 lbs.
I made a challenge with my brother today, he has to pass his driving test by June (not had his 1st lesson yet!) and I have to lose 2 stone (bringing me to 14st!)
I need to lose at least 1 lb a week to achieve this, so is very doable, if I don't get complacent!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

MrsA is on her third cast and should get a walking boot in two weeks time. She's going to work tomorrow, she's decided that I'm driving her in
We're sticking with the old system - she's doing SW and I'm doing WW so that should be fun.... I sense stir frys.

how do i join the 5lb loss plan??. The goal is 5lbs a month - it really helps break down large goals in to smaller manageable amounts and to keep the motivation up over time.Post your weekly weigh in result each week and it will be picked up and put on the chart we put up every wed evening. I'll add you now as you are just in time and it will show your weeks results and accumulated loss. Obviously I'll be starting you on zero this week, along with are other new members. I realise you won't beale to post your first result until Sun 13th. How are you both planning to lose the weight? Healthy eating and exercise? THis is a great forum and the more you post the more friendly support you can get. How much do you hope to lose?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Crumbs I am feeling right sorry for myself now, read all the posts with the fab loses over xmas and yes got on the scales at boots today again two days later and it has gone up to 5lb:eek: 5lb seems a lot, I am surprised at it, surprised I LET it happen, surprised I did not stop eating sooner:rotfl: and am already planning to have the very bare essential basics in this house for next xmas so it never happens again:rotfl:
I seem to be the highest gainer, so please put me down for the highest:rotfl: :rotfl: I won't be loosing that in the next week, the most I have lost in a week is 4lb, I would like to loose it by Jan 14th as I get weighed at the hospital and I do not want to see a gain on my records, the nurses moan:rotfl:0 -

Thanks vix, actually this year has a number of 'big' birthdays in the blended family, there is 2 x 16's, 2 x 65's 1 x 18 and 1 x 40th (mine!) so just I might be alot older than you, but only in body, not in spirit :rotfl:Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................
