Morning peeps, and thanks Efrieze for your post, you are indeed an inspiration! I'm sure you'll definitely get to one of those targets in the next 10 days. How exciting that Oz is so close now!:T

Thanks BB for all the work you are doing on the chart and well done for being so close to your goal too even if it is through unpleasant circumstances at the moment. Just 6 lbs away - very well done.

    Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a great holiday period - I certainly did. Weight loss was totally forgotten about for 5 weeks...... and it shows on the scales. Lucky that I'm pretty laid-back about being a fluctuator, eh?

I have made a new year's resolution to stop by the thread at least once a day every day and read every post, no matter what else needs to be done. I know that if I do that then the support of you fine folk will bring about new year's resolution #2 automatically.

Bbelle, sorry to hear about your ills, and anyone else who's not having a great time of it either. C'mere Delly, gizza hug !!! Anyway Bb, as simple as possible, my total loss now stands at 40.5 lbs. I'll be on the monthly challenge when it begins tomorrow too.

    Until the next time.............
  • Hope your feeling better BB, thanks for still working hard for us x
I know I have put on weight - but not sure how much and I won't know till next week, I will let you know then, thanks.
Everyone's doing so well, well done to you all.
I'm not, but will sort myself out, soon.
    take care all x

Hi I would like to be join you if I can. I'm new to the MSE forums but 'starting again!' with the weight loss. I would like to be added to the 5lbs a month if I can.
Lots of inspiration on this thread, I can do it this time - I'm sure!
    Happy New Year everyone.

Hi all, I need to do a massive clear up around the house today before having a friend stay for a couple of days, so I might not be around much the rest of this week.

I'm also going to have another wardrobe sort out, I did a big one about three months ago but a few size 12-14's seem to be still lurking around and I want rid (freecycle of course, I don't chuck away usable stuff)! Funny, my original goal was to get DOWN to a 12, now I don't want to get back UP to it!

Hello & welcome to the new people joining, you're definitely in the right place, as you can see by the fantastic losses on the chart above!

Also I'd like to say to the regulars here, good luck with your continued quest for your targets, or maintaining, or with 'starting over' as a few people are doing.

Brighton belle - please would you put me down as 0 this week and 37lb overall, you probably don't want to deal with all my silly fractions! Thank you! :D

Yeah - taffy - congrats on your first post and the great sense to choose our wonderul friendly forum as your first port of call on this super website:beer: . Yes of course you can join us. I have added you name to the chart which will be posted for the first time tonight and every subsequent wedneday. So whatever day on the week is you 'official weigh in', then just post you result and it'll be picked up by who ever is doing the chart. Your best chance of sucess is by throwing yourself into posting everyday to share what's going on for you and to get to know the rest of us - many of us can testify to the great support we get here. How much would you like to lose and what is your plan of action - a club, or 'just' healthy eating and more exercise?
Lovely to hear from you Ajax and delighted at your numer 1 resolution:T
Well done vix - that's very good over xmas. I have you down as having a zero total loss, is that correct? and thanks bargain babe
Missyg - I'm quite happy to do the fractions if it helps you - I have already entered you as a .25 loss. Do you want me to alter to zero, or leave as is - the chart does the calcs...

    Happy New Year to everyone

Haven't been near the PC since Christmas - been busy in the kitchen stuffing my face!!

Well I have done nothing but eat for the last week and it shows - the scales on Monday show a gain of 3lbs meaning my total loss is now 31 lbs. (I think I have caused confusion by starting off in kilos at the docs and switching to lbs as I now weigh at Boots so will stick to lbs now if that is okay).

Unfortunately that weigh in was on Monday - had big New Year's dinner yesterday, got another one today and yet another meal on Saturday at OH's Aunt's house and although there are just the four of us there she cooks enough food for about fourteen so I may well have another gain next week.

This means my target for 14 stone something for my 40th birthday on 16th of the month might be stretching my limits a wee bit so I probably won't make it (OH is also taking me away to Braemar for the weekend before so no doubt a bit more to eat than normal then too) - unless Pet gives me a loan of her home made lipsuction thing she is going to invent.

Anyway - I won't worry about it - thanks to all you lovely people on here I am still over two stone lighter than I was when I started in September and couldn't have done it without all your help so a big thank you to you all.

I look forward to all your help, support, inspriation and friendship for this year and hopefully there'll be a lot less of me this time next year.

Thanks for doing the chart BB and I hope you are feeling a bit more pain free soon.

Thanks again to all of you, welcome to all the newbies - you've joined a great thread and Best Wishes to you all for 2008.

Welcome to the newbies. This is my first attempt at losing weight and all the people who post here have really inspired and supported me. Thank you to everyone who was here last year during all my difficult times.
Thanks BB for doing the chart again whilst still struggling.
Despite my sons and DH buying me loads of chocolate for Christmas I have somehow manage to maintain so I have a total loss of 16lbs. I am a bit worried because it is my bday later this month and they always buy me choccies then too.
