...missyg I'm not sure what my average stride length is, but I just use the counter as a guide to the amount and just try and build it up. I'll look into this further when time permits :D ...

...Time for festive pictures again folks :j . As today is the winter solstice I thought that we should bring in the yule wreath and yule log-

    Hi, Everyone.
I think those who have reached target weight have done absolutely fantastically and I have to admit that when I started this weight loss with you all I believed I would never be able to do that myself. Now that three of you are at target weight and maintaining is wonderful and I am really impressed. About temptation I agree with grannynise that if I know I can have a little treat in the evening I can manage through the day. When I get hungry and search through the kitchen, freeezer etc there isn't really anything there I shouldn't eat. It's all healthy stuff. My DH. DD and 2 DSs do suffer as I don't buy biscuits, cakes or anything like that. If they want them they have to buy them themselves and then keep them in their bedrooms. A bit of a problem as obviously DH and I share a room/bed. He buys things and then eats them all in one go. He is a builder and the thinnest person possible, as are DSs. (He eats biscuits in bed though with his cocoa!!!) If I want a treat from any of my kids they charge me exorbitant prices e.g. £1 for A CHOCOLATE BISCUIT!!
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

  • lol poohbear, thats very enterprising! Spam cupcakes are ready to go - i wonder how many of them will be left at the end of the night?

Grannynise, that is very sensible advice, and i am going to try and stick to it. One thing that I used to have success with was if i was really wanting something bad I would tell myself that I could have it - but at the weekend. By the time the weekend came around I'd usually have changed my mind.

see you all tomorrow! Off for a major cooking and cleaning jag now.

    HELP

What should I do, considering my willpower is crumbling and it's only December 20th! (this is why I can understand where you're at Victory!)

I have a tin of quality street in the living room here with me, the thing is it is not open and will not be open until xmas day itself, those are the rules and rules have to be stuck by:rotfl: :rotfl: I have been surrounded by box of biscuits at work, mince pies, chocs etc but I automatically say no thank you and walk away, I think about every single thing that I eat because I have learnt to, because I do not want to loose some points along the way that I had not bargained for, I keep focused and know how many points I want to spend on 'luxuries' as I call them, how many points I am allowed a day, I am a dab hand at converting them, you get more points worth if you have this rather than just one of that type of thing, temptation is everywhere, count them in always if you have a 'luxury' they soon add up:D

No, unfortunately the boot sales don't start up again until next March so I have to pay real prices for things and do not like it!! I never bought a xmas dress while out shopping but I tried the most fab silver shiny dress on at Wallis in their 1/2 price sale but it wasn't it was £20 off not 1/2 price, anyway I regret a lot not getting it even though it was expensive because it was a dress that no way would I have ever tried on previously and 2) crumbs I looked good in it:rotfl: :rotfl: it was made for me:D but tight wad xmas money obsessed person that I am would not part with the money for it, shame really it was a 'me' dress well the new me at least:D

I went on the Wallis website to get it but it was not on there

My Secret Santa is Here :j Has all the presents been sent and recieved???

Ditto here Victory, I have a tin of Cadburys Hero's on the table, still sealed, its for the kids in the household, we only have one on Christmas day and mine will appear on Boxing day for five days :) There are even chocolate decorations on the tree that I havent tried :)

Still coughing badly today and feeling rough, MrsSuggs has caught it back just hoping we are fit enough for tomorrow, as its her Christmas Surprise trip ;) Thanks for all the Get Well soons and the nice thoughts about the GP comments, yes it made me feel good :) and it was so unexpected that made it all the better.

Weightwise I can recomend a good bout of Bronchitis!! I have only been in the gym once, (Monday) have eaten ok, last night was spag bol for example, however I have lost 6lb this week BB you missed the 3lb loss for last week, however seeing as I moved the weigh day, its not a problem, in future I will PM the weekly chart owner each week :) I fully expect the weight to even back up once I am better and especially as it is Christmas next week :xmastree::santa2:

KPC, I think there will be a few, new year, new starts for good on you for turning the corner and deciding to try again. We are all here to help, offer the shoulder, kick up the pants or even listen. Its a free service :D Just my apologises for not been able to respond quicker to you this week.

Which reminds me, here is picture number 2!!! (Do I hear more??) Petrichor, Im sure I saw your halo around here sometime last year :rotfl:

  • Just a quick post as I am off out shopping and then on a night out with the girlies tonight.

Thanks for your lovely advice. I've decided to take everything in moderation and try to enjoy myself as much as possible without feeling guilty. I definitely don't want to be a killjoy with everyone else tonight!

Might have a sore head in the morning but I'll check in with you all then!
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Off to make something to go on my cupcake holder for tomorrow. . . . .. spam cupcakes. They are the vilest sounding things imaginable but actually quite tasty. You have to grate spam in the food processor to make it and it puts me right off eating them. It smells like doggy poo. They are 'iced' with mashed potato. As i'm having a green day today i can scoff the leftover mash, yay! Maybe i ought to take a picture?

You absolutely must take a picture. Vile sounds too mild a word to describe grated spam cupcakes. Doggy poo???? Katie, have you been at the mulled wine?
