    Peeps, I can't keep up! :D

Well done Delly, on SOTW! And to everyone who made the monthly challenge. I think I got confused and thought the idea was to PUT ON 4 pounds ;)
Serendisglair, congratulations on the new job!:T As for advice, I've got a feeling this is undergraduate territory so slightly different but in secondary the main rule is, Don't smile for the first term! Sounds tough (especially for someone with a grin the size of mine!) but making friends with them too early can be your downfall! I reckon get some respect, show some respect (they are adults after all) and then have a laugh with them. As for the boots and low-cut top, well you'll no doubt get some flirting even if you wear a sack! Good luck with it all.
Grannynise, it's the Christmas holidays, woo hoo! Freedom from the little lovelies, now just try not to get the inevitable holiday cold!
Suggs, sorry to hear avbout the bronchitis but lovely story about the docs! And well deserved too!:T
KPC, glad to hear you're feeling a little better. Picked up my parcel yesterday and have been squeezing it to death, tee hee! It got me all excited about Christmas so thankyou!
As for home exercise equipment, I would definitely look on Freecycle first (now, before the January demand for all things slimming starts!). I picked up a Nordic cross trainer for free, it's lovely! Not well enough to use it yet but it's got my name all over it for 2008! :j On our Freecycle, you can pick up all manner of wonderful things and we're not the biggest community out there so get on and have a look! If you have anything to offer, that might well help in getting what you want.
Vix, don't give yourself too hard a time, it could be that you are putting on muscle which weighs heavier. Maybe get out the tape measure so you can monitor things that way too (I'd advise this for anyone who's exercising).
Can't remember anything else at the mo! Oh yeah, Petrichor I'm off to Wales for Christmas, probably leaving on Sunday now unless I can twist OH's arm. I'll still be able to log on though and will be checking in to give and receive support!
BB, I hope you feel as well as possible today, soup sounded good! I'm flat out at mo but will be in touch soon x And as for Facebook, I'm Claire Bailey, tried to find people yesterday but wasn't working; I'm KPC and Missy's friend so you can find me that way xx

Jillie - I really admire you, your sig "stats" are most impressive! Well done on taking control and if you go about the weight loss in the same way I can't see you having any problems shifting those lbs!

Julesgr, 3lb loss well done, and I thought I'd had a good week with 2.5lb, haha! That is brilliant, congrats! You must have been over the moon! I'll look for you on facebook next time I sign in.

KPC £249 isn't that bad for a good cross trainer, esp if there are 2 of you getting use out of it? You would easily spend that on gym membership for 2 or other types of (paid) exercise over a period of time. I bet you could get that price down too with some voucher codes from here or in the sales!

Grannynise you can control who sees you on facebook, there are all sorts of privacy settings in there. You have to agree who becomes your "friend" or invite people yourself, and only they can see all the good stuff you put on there!

Vix - as Bails said, measure as well as weigh! Please don't get disheartened this early, any change in routine might take a couple of weeks to filter through. Have you worked out your BMR and what your daily calorie needs are, to see if you're roughly getting the right intake and on a weight loss pace for your level of activity?

Get well soon Suggs! I am not at all surprised the doctors are so pleased with you, they probably rarely see that kind of a turnaround! I hope you are lapping up every compliment you get as they are so richly deserved.

I had my grocery delivery earlier and they'd sent me double a lot of the quantities I was expecting. Haha :p My cupboards are full to bursting!

Massage was amazing. It's nice to have more room on the massage table compared to when I was bigger, I can get a bit more comfortable now :rotfl:
  • Right, lets see if I can get this blimmin' site to work for me for two minutes!! As BB posted for me yesterday am having so many issues at the moment - although I think it could be work sussing out how much time I spend on here!!!!

SO - in case it drops out in a minute, I'm Karen Sims on facebook if anyone wants to add me (I might go and do the rounds in a minute!!) and as I'm off work after tomorrow:

    HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I hope everyone has a fabulous and most importantly guilt free time - everything in moderation and don't forget the 80:20 rule!!!

Lots of Christmas love and hugs to all of you,

    JM xx

Thanks for all the encouragement to eat peeps:D I did enjoy my home cooked roast pork dinner, very nice and DS was very happy to finally have his mum cook the yorkshires and H loved the roasties so we all benefited from it:D

The bath was nearly two hours long :j I did not dream about anyone but antonio banderas in the bath:rotfl: or enrique iglesias:D

I am over myself, straight back on it today, yes I am maintaining I know that but I am a greedy person who will have to monitor forever:rotfl: portion sizes what are they?:rotfl: that is why WW meals are my saviour as they are already done and all I have to think about is eating them:D

suggs great to be the centre of attention:T

I bought the quality street tin today, still sealed not to be opened on xmas day, my boss bought me a box of belgium biscuits, the kids can have them, they will be too sweet for me, yes she knows I am daibetic:rotfl:

I bought 3 bags of satsumas today from Morrisons 79 each as they are going so fast it is as if the kids have never had fruit before!! Oh well better that than nuts or sweets etc.

Xmas day and boxing day is def a no calorie counting eating day;)

I hope everyone feels better today

  • phew! I'm back with a dancemat and OH is getting me a game on his way home. So I may have saved myself £249! apart from the £8 wasted when the man in the game shop sold me a PS2 dance mat game ASSURING me it would work on a PS1. OH was livid. Looks like i'm taking it back tomorrow. AND i managed to get past subway into the tesco caff and bought a jacket spud with beans. And was served by a guy who used to be really mean to me when I was waitressing. I was very nice to him! Food shopping is all done for Christmas now and I'm prepared for the party tomorrow night. Well, shopping wise. Better get on with the cleaning now . . . . .

Vix, remember that the self flagellation stick is locked away till January! I don't care how hard you rattle that shed door you are not having it! Is the exercise a lot more than you would have been doing? Because you've probably gained a bit of muscle to offset your fat lost. When I got into kickboxing and started doing a couple of times a week I lost 2 dress sizes but gained half a stone. Do your clothes feel good (taking totm into account)?
  • thanks so much for my ss parcel, want to open it but will hold out till christmas eve.
thanks for doing the chart bb - i'm missed off, but that probably cos' I'm gonna weigh really heavy tonight and you already knew! lol xx I lost .5lb last week but i'm sure i've put on this week so we'll see for next time the charts out.
Victory hope you enjoy your christmas food! you are entitled to enjoy it - just be better behaved than you used to be.
I hope everyone who feels poorly or down feel better now x
    Catch you all later
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

Suggs this Santa is wearing a LOT for a naked Santa, well at least he is on my PC. And anyway, it's really you isn't it?;)

..Odd that only one person asked for the Naked Austrailian Rugby League Calender

...:rotfl: :rotfl: My money is on delly  :rotfl: :rotfl: I thought about it but didn't want to tarnish my halo 6q070pf.gif...

...How lovely of your doctors to take the time to give you such praise :j I bet that they don't have many success stories like yours. Tell MrsS to give you unlimited TLC otherwise we'll all be round :j ...

...BTW I am shocked that granny thought that the Santa was overdressed, it never crossed MY mind 6q070pf.gif ...

...vixarooni Try not to let it get you down. After Christmas, make sure that you write everything down that you eat and see if it's more than you realise, it's so easy to forget some things. Then, as mentioned earlier, find out your BMR and the recommended calorific intake, and compare. I found that this helped me. Don't dwell on it it will come right :D ...

...Went shopping today and wore my trousers that I bought the other week :j Bought a great pair of shoes to go with them :j Only had 3 pears to eat so far today, my appetite is non existent and it's a bit worrying, I'm worried that when it does kick in I'll eat for Britain :rotfl: ...

..Forgot to tell you that my average daily step count for last week was 22,235 :j which was a bit lower than the previous week (23,149), but still good I think especially as one day was only 17,185. Doing well again so far this week. Since I got my weight down I feel incredibly fit :j ...

...When I got home there was a card waing for me from my secret :santa2: :j I'm beside myself with  I've held it up to the light but can't see anything, DD has made me put it down :o

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
