Well done all those who have weight loss or maintains. Victory, this message is a bit late maybe but as you are at your target weight I really think you should eat what you want so you are not hungry and just keep portions small, but not too small so you are hungry.
I drank three glasses of wine and then ate ice cream last night and I never, ever eat ice cream normally as I don't really like it. Tonight I will not even have one glass of wine as I am not supposed to drink because of my medication, I think I so enjoyed it i threw moderation to the wind!!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

It's the first day of the school holidays! Hooray! Happy Granny!:j :j :j
Jillie, don't panic about your weight ... don't feel carp ... I'm exactly the same height as you and have only recently got DOWN to 12 11. It feels slim to me to be 12 stone something! You see it just depends how you look at it.
Now, all this talk about facebook is intriguing as I have no idea at all how to get on it, look at it or anything. Do I just google it and go from there? Will I be able to preserve some element of secrecy .. eg from the parents at school? Could one of you experts enlighten me?
Victory I hope you enjoyed your meal yesterday. I think you should practice letting go, just a little bit, on a regular basis. You like a challenge and that would really be one for you!
Seren I have no advice at all for teaching 18 year olds. Maybe just frown a lot? And be condiderably more clever than they are?
Well done Delly! SOW! WOW!0 -
Hi all, hope everyone is doing OK today! I see you have been talking about gym equipment without me!
A nice smaller alternative to a cross trainer is a lateral thigh trainer or similar plus handweights (and/or ankle and wrist weights). You can get a decent speed going on that and work the arms while it counts and times you. I love mine AND it cost me nothing! (Freecycle).
I have the Kirsty cross trainer and exercise bike, both are perfect for my needs. The cross trainer has a much smaller 'footprint' than most others and isn't anywhere near as heavy. Both of these items have roller front wheels and you can shift them around easily (like wheelbarrows!) The only thing I would say is they are quite small and girly and probably wouldn't suit you if you're going to be sharing them with a fella! Oh, and both have practically silent operation but the cross trainer just needs a bit of WD40 once in a while.
I have the rowing abs exerciser which I find excellent for tummy strengthening and balance exercises, and that takes up virtually no space at all.
I didn't get along very well with my stepper when I had one, I found it slightly too low impact for me, I prefer things where I can give them a good blast - perhaps I was doing it wrong, I don't know! I'm not liking the gymball very much yet either but I'll persevere with that as it's still quite new. Haven't tried a mini trampoline, my son would love it a little TOO much I think!
If anyone's thinking about buying folding stuff, make sure you find out how long it takes to fold and unfold (and then double what they tell you)! If it's seconds then great, but if it's a ten minute job each time the chances are it might stay folded
Off for my massage now... bliss...........0 -

Huh. You might be happy
I woke up this morning to find a hormonal 15 year old sat in front of the tv, *already* complaining of being bored!! I didn't think term broke up til tomorrow... So much for a quiet lazy day! It appears I'm taking it shopping. We need to buy mums Christmas present. It's ok- I've got a LARGE bottle of wine sitting in the fridge for afterwards....**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0 -
Hey guys. I havent lost anything. Im a bit gutted because i had been using the stepper and doing a few thousand a week but obviously that isnt enough.
Im finding this quite tough. I havent eaten a choclate bar since i joined this group, eating more fruit ect. I guess the only thing i have done is keep a lid on getting any fatter.
Christmas is annoying me now, im stressing out about college even though im not even there for 4 weeks and my periods, for god sake. I am having one week of normality, then the hormones kick in. And to think i should be happy at this time of year!
sorry for the mini moan, just wanna get it off my chest. all be it small one!0 -
Morning All
Hope we are all doing good, Well done to Delly on SOTW :j
Anyways a funny thing happened while at the doctors today, I got in today to check out this 'man flu' could get an appointment with my GP however. Anyway I have Bronchitis which as you can imagine I am not best pleased with it, but with the antibiotics, I should be ok for Christmas.
So this doctor, looks at my notes and sees how much weight I lost and was geniunely pleased and pays all the compliments, it turns out that 2 years ago I was 'morbidly obese' her words were 'well you just saved your own life' So the conversation goes on, She asks if my GP has seen me, I say no, as I have had no reason to see him. With that she picks up the phone, dials his office, asks if he is with anyone, as he didnt, could he see me for a min. So I left her office, and there the other side of the waiting room, was a smiling GP. And once in his office, I was in compliment city, evidently, he had walked past me a little while ago and wasnt sure if it was me or not
So although I am feeling lowsy, I was alot happier when I left the SurgeryProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................
